Mint Barrel Barn - Event Center

5.0

Nampa, ID
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,900

The Mint Barrel Barn is a stunning, gambrel-style barn that was built in 1910. The barn’s earliest years are a mystery, but in later years it was used as a mint still. Huge quantities of local peppermint crops were distilled into mint oil, stored in large barrels, and sold across the nation to manufacturers of gum, mouthwash, toothpaste, and candy. Companies like Wrigley’s, Crest, Colgate, and LifeSavers paid top dollar for mint oil for their products. Since 2006, the Fulfer family has owned the barn, lovingly maintained it, and opened it up to friends and family as a warm and memorable gathering space for countless events. Owner, Kapri Maupin (Fulfer), wanted more people to be able to experience the history and make memories in the one-of-a-kind barn, so in 2018 she started upgrading and beautifully restoring the property. The barn now retains its historic beauty and is upgraded with all the amenities needed for a 21st century event.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Unique barn setting
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Additional event staff required
As a videographer, I can't recommend the Mint Barrel Barn enough—it’s an absolute dream to film at. The venue’s rustic charm combined with its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys creates a picture-perfect backdrop for any wedding or event. The barn itself, with its history dating back to 1910, offers a unique blend of vintage character and modern touches, making every shot feel timeless and cinematic. The staff is also just absolutely fantastic—super accommodating and organized—which makes my job so much easier. Reina is absolutely amazing and always making sure its couples, families, vendors, are all comfortable and have everything we need. Having a team that understands the needs of vendors like me ensures that everything flows smoothly, allowing me to focus on the couple and keeps my mind at east with a hundred things going on during a wedding day. If you’re looking for a venue that’s as stunning on camera as it is in person, Mint Barrel Barn is truly top-tier.

Cool Water Events is not just a wedding venue, it's a whole experience. With its rich history, stunning views, and unique amenities, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're a history buff, nature lover, or just looking for a relaxing getaway, you won't be disappointed. The barn, which has been refurbished, can be used for pictures and has a 1900s doctor's buggy and a Model T for those wanting to take a trip down memory lane. Plans to rebuild the silo on the west side of the barn are in the works, and much of the original wood will be used on the exterior to maintain its authenticity.
