Mae Krell Photo

Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

Hey there! I'm Eric, an outdoor-loving, laid-back wedding photographer based in the Midwest who lives for capturing those real, unfiltered moments that make each love story unique. She was an invaluable resource for us throughout the wedding process. Leah Flores Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Wessington Springs, SD for additional fees

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
I could write a book about Leah; or at least a very detailed blog post but I'll try to keep it shorter! As a fellow professional photographer, I got the opportunity to meet Leah and work with her as her 2nd photographer on a wedding. It took that one amazing experience and absolute blast of a time to know that whenever it was I got married she was THE photographer for me. Fast forward some years later it was finally my turn to tie the knot and my now husband and I chose our date based on when Leah was available, because there was no other option for me! I have gotten to work with dozens of photographers throughout my going on 10 year career, and I'm telling y'all, it doesn't get better than Leah. The photos - amazing! I love her eye for details, the crispness, the colors! Not to mention she is such a beautiful soul with the best personality and energy, with the professionalism to get a gallery worth of beautiful photos with you barely realizing she's there. While going through our gallery, I was stunned and overjoyed so many times to see things I had NO idea happened or even photos of people that I unfortunately didn't get to spend much time with yet seeing that they still enjoyed themselves. In my opinion, a photographer is the most important vendor you can choose for your wedding day. I am so thankful my experience in the wedding industry allowed me to cross paths with Leah because that made a really important decision very easy for me. And I hope my review can help other soonlyweds out there make a hard decision easier. You will not go wrong choosing Leah to photograph your big day!

Hi, I'm McKenna! The person behind the camera and a hopeless romantic. I describe my photography style as candid, romantic, and timeless. My goal is to make a human connection with all my clients and deliver images that you'll love forever. I find joy in capturing love, hearing about how you met, and everything in between.

McKenna was so friendly and charismatic from the start and she fit right into the craziness and chaos of our life without missing a beat. She was flexible and super communicative, especially when it rained on the day of our engagement photos, which really helped to calm our nerves and make the session comfortable and fun. She stepped right into the flow of things on our wedding day and kept everyone on schedule and in good spirits. The photos came back better than I could've imagined and our guests haven't stopped talking about them. What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.

Booking Jamie was the single best decision that we made for our wedding. Jamie is everything you want out of a photographer; responsive, personable, extremely helpful, and even more talented. She helped with every step of the process, cheering us on along the way. By the time our elopement came around, we already felt like we were being photographed by a dear old friend. Our photos surpassed our greatest expectations, and the little moments that she captured without us noticing have brought many tears to our eyes. Whenever Jamie walked into a room so did a feeling of relief. She knew all of the tricks, the right things to say, and somehow managed to hold my phone/tissues/lipstick in the process. We would get married all over again just to pick her twice.

Oh... hello. You made it. That's nice. This won't take long, if you poke around a bit you'll probably find what you're looking for. There are some photos, some words... and hopefully they help you decide if I'm the right person to document your wedding. I like to photograph moments that happen naturally, without too much fuss. If you're into that-if you're ok with a little wind in your hair, or a cake that leans slightly to the left-then maybe we'd get along just fine.

Loy at Sweet Lime takes some great photos. He was a joy to work with and helped set the room up by providing a suggestion that none of the restaurant staff, or us, had thought of which ended up working swimmingly. The day of the wedding, he was present but also not too if that makes sense. He was kind enough to send us a couple preview shots while we impatiently/patiently waited. The photos are well worth the wait. I would be happy to recommend Sweet Lime Photography. You will not be disappointed in his service.

Hey there!! We're Sarah & Ben a mother-son destination photography team traveling throughout New England and the U.S., capturing stunning weddings, elopements, & engagements along the way. We’re lucky enough to witness countless beautiful moments that leave us in awe. From the quiet glances to the laughter-filled celebrations, we aim to capture it all with a sense of ease that reflects the genuine connections between you and your loved ones.

Awarded Best of Zola
Where to start? During the first phone call with Sarah, even after we told her we were interviewing multiple photographers, she offered us pointers and advice to consider when choosing our photographer, not her as the photographer, but OUR photographer. From the beginning she wanted to ensure that we had the best fit for us. She went above and beyond by coming to our venues prior to the wedding to "get the feel" of what she would need to capture the perfect moments. On the day of the wedding (when it was pure chaos) she adapted quickly, efficiently and went with the flow. Sarah and Ben are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and have a wonderful sense of humor. All of the photos they took are amazing and very unique. The emotion captured by each photo brought us to laughter or tears, but both in a good way! We could not have picked a better photographer, and we cannot thank them enough for all they did!

If you’re looking to hire a wedding photographer who can capture your big day in a “not so traditional” way, then you’re in the right place. We are Alternative Portraiture & Documentary Wedding Photographers based in sunny (and sometimes rainy) South Florida, and we like to think of ourselves as friendly, honest, and quirky (the good kind, we promise). We are creative beings at heart and love to tell stories unconventionally.

From the moment we met Erika and Loy for our engagement shoot, we knew we had found something special. They made two self-proclaimed awkward people feel totally at ease in front of the camera. It didn’t feel like posing—it felt like laughing, dancing, and being fully ourselves, all while they worked their magic. The photos captured not just how we looked, but who we are. We walked away from that session with more than beautiful images—we walked away with memories. Fast forward to our wedding day, and they absolutely blew us away. Our friends and family keep raving about the photos: “absolutely stunning,” “so artsy,” “journalistic,” “soulful,” and “hilarious and beautiful at the same time.” The photos brought the emotion of the day flooding back—joy, intimacy, hilarity, and everything in between. Every little detail, every fleeting look, every big, beautiful moment—it’s all there. They somehow captured the energy of the day, not just the visuals. We’ve gone through the gallery more times than we can count, and each time we see something new to love. From my dad’s emotional first look to the spontaneous dance floor chaos to those quiet moments between us in Adirondack chairs—it’s all so genuine and full of heart. Working with Erika and Loy wasn’t just hiring photographers—it was inviting two incredibly talented, kind, and charismatic humans into some of the most important moments of our lives. We can’t imagine having had anyone else there with us. If you’re considering them—do it. Truly, 10 out of 10.

I’m Alex, a wedding photographer with 10 years of experience. My approach blends classic elegance with a documentary style, capturing both posed and candid moments that reflect the authentic atmosphere of your wedding day. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony or a larger event, I’ve had the privilege of telling love stories through my lens. Clients appreciate my attention to detail and seamless process. From guiding you through natural poses to capturing spontaneous emotions, I ensure that every important moment is beautifully documented, creating a wedding album that you’ll treasure for years to come.

I was initially hesitant since Alex didn’t have many reviews, but his portfolio spoke for itself—and I’m so glad we trusted our gut. He needed minimal direction and had an incredible eye for capturing the most meaningful, spontaneous moments. We never felt staged or stiff. He just followed us throughout the day and somehow was always in the right place at the right time. We are completely in love with our photos. Highly highly highly recommend him.
