“My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!”

Their coordinator Caitlyn was very good about keeping us informed and addressing any of our questions or concerns. The venue itself was beautifully stunning, with a gorgeous greenhouse and very spacious reception tent. When it rained on our wedding day, they were quick to accommodate and rearrange the setup so our guests could stay nice and dry inside the greenhouse. They also offered golf cart transportation, which our guests really appreciated. While their preferred vendor list had some great options, we ended up finding an amazing makeup artist that wasn't on their list. Overall, Historic Shady Lane contributed greatly to making our special day unforgettable.”

From day one as we toured the venue I was blown away at how detail-oriented and passionate she was about making the client’s dream wedding come to life. Not to mention she was incredibly kind and so fun to work with through this process. I truly did not have any worries on my wedding day because I knew Miranda was on top of it! The venue is STUNNING. Each section of the venue in itself is so beautiful that you do not even need much decor. The beauty of this place speaks for itself. You can tell how much thought has gone into each room & building. It is very accessibly friendly which was greatly appreciated for my guests who struggle with walking. There is a place for everything… wish you could stow away something out of guests sight? They have a place! Wish there was a place to hang your things in bathrooms/bridal suite? There’s a hook! Just so many little things that you do not think of until you need it. Just shows how much care and thought was put into this venue. We even had to make the call to move indoors on my wedding day due to rain and Miranda was so prepared and made the transition incredibly easy and made it equally as stunning. She truly is the best of the best. I cannot rave enough about my experience. Our special day was PERFECT and all my thanks goes to Miranda for making it all happen. “The moment I saw Bohemia Overlook, I knew it was the Wedding venue for us. The Venue is affordable and offers a good amount of accommodations that other venues do not and would cost extra even. The little things do matter, it adds up as we all know. The Venue kept in great contact with me and responded to me right away with questions I had through the whole experience and worked with me. Such a beautiful Venue. Was nervous when I found out a new owner took over, but realized quickly I didn’t need to be. The new owners kept up with the same pace of communication and response time and even on our Wedding day they greeted us and made sure everything was going good. We even got a beautiful view of the water on the hill for some wedding photos. My Wife and I enjoy coming here for different events and the wine room when it’s open. This place will forever be a cherished memory and not everyone can say that they can go back to where they got married. So much more to say about this place, but without going on a rant, just know this place is amazing. To even include how beautiful the barn looks upstairs at night, wasn’t expecting that since we usually see it during the day.”

“We just recently had our wedding in May and mount Hope made it incredible. They have some of the nicest staff members and each of them were always helping us out with all the tiny details of everything. We always felt like they listened to everything we wanted and there was no push back on anything. They accommodated to everything we wanted to accomplish to where the day flew by with no issues. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the servers, the employees, and also about how beautiful everyone thought the venue was. Brandy and Nicole were incredible throughout the process and they made it so much easier on us. Though the wedding planning was stressful, every time we had to meet up with Brandy, we felt relived afterwards because she always made us feel at ease. We originally planned for an outdoor ceremony, but due to weather, we had to move it inside. It turned out beautiful and Mount Hope was so flexible with it to make it a smooth process. We also had incredible reviews about the food. We would highly recommend doing Cannolis and the pretzel late night snack bar! The venue itself is gorgeous and offers a lot of cool photo opportunities. The staff was extraordinary and so kind. Overall, Mount Hope made our day spectacular and their attention to detail was astounding. We didn’t have to worry about anything going wrong because they knew how to take care of everything.
