Stickney Farms

4.8

Roxbury, VT
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $4,000

We are a very laid back team of husband and wife running his family's 6th generation family farm. We are rustic but also a charming, authentic Vermont experience. The barn can become incredibly elegant for a more formal affair but can also look just perfect with some simple, personal accents. Some of the great things that people love about our venue is our relaxed vibe, we are a BYOB facility and we allow any and all outside vendors. We can house up to 50 guests in the 4 houses that are available on our property. We also allow camping anywhere on the 350 acre property and we have an awesome "glamping site" available for rent as well. We are a weekend rental with the ability to add on days before and after the event to prepare and to relax after. We also have no curfews and encourage you and your guests to party in the barn or around the firepit all night long.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Rustic charm with elegance
  • Offers convenient lodging options
  • Feels like a getaway

Venue considerations

  • No in-house catering options
  • Additional event staff required
  • Best for events with big guest lists

We got married at Stickney Farms last weekend, and we really can't explain how wonderful it was. We had all our friends and family stay on the property with us, we used the field for giant games of kickball, volleyball, badminton, and capture the flag. We swam in the waterfalls on the property, walked the trails, and took in the beautiful valley views all day every day. The dancehall was everything you could hope for as a dinner venue - historic, elegant, and magical. The owners are incredibly kind, responsive, and wonderful people. Being able to use the property and do our own food and flowers and everything else let us have exactly the wedding we hoped to have. Every single one of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I feel like I'm giving away a hidden gem, but we already got married there so now it's ok if this place is booked every weekend!!!!

The Community Sailing Center was an absolutely perfect place to have our wedding! The vibe was amazing, the view unbeatable, and the space felt both intimate and full of life. Tilly was so helpful and accommodating from start to finish—she was truly a joy to work with. The staff helped quickly transition from an outdoor to indoor ceremony at the last minute due to rain and made what could have been a stressful moment, feel very easy. It was perfect for our tiny wedding (under 30 guests) and I’m sure would be lovely for a bigger one as well! If you’re looking for a Burlington venue that’s beautiful, flexible, and staffed by people who truly care, this is the one.

I love the Intervale Center, it is so beautiful! I knew that by choosing to get married there in July, we could really cut back on our decorations and let the landscaped grounds really shine. This venue is very conveniently located to Burlington, VT, but doesn't feel like you're in a city. It feels quiet and somewhat secluded. The rental/site fee was very affordable (and what you pay goes to a good cause!) and their guide book/post-booking-brochure is really helpful. They provide tables and chairs which are probably ample if you are having a small shindig, though you will likely want to cover the tables as they are not very pretty! Or you can always rent tables and chairs at additional cost. Most of what they offer is very DIY, so get some friends together (we set up in less than an hour with our friends). Our wedding here was pretty low-key with about 40 guests, but I think this could work for more formal gatherings too. My top of mind words to describe it would be "Pretty, local, affordable".

Nestled in the picturesque valley of the Green Mountains, this restored rustic barn in Southern Vermont served as the perfect backdrop for my recent birthday party with 50 of my friends and family. The venue owners, Lauren and Trent, with their warmth and exceptional hospitality, made the entire experience seamlessly delightful. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were enchanted by the charm and elegance of the surroundings. The barn itself exuded rustic charm with its exposed wooden beams and twinkling lights, creating an ambiance that felt both intimate and magical. Whether you're planning a wedding or any special event, this venue is a hidden gem waiting to make your dreams come true. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and enchanting experience in the heart of Vermont's beauty.
