They accommodated us visiting several times after booking to see more details and ask questions. As we got closer to our wedding date, Jamie worked with us to develop our timeline full of so many details. \nThey were so welcoming of us and our family, allowing my brother, a pastry chef & restaurant owner, to build the wedding cake on site the day of the wedding. Jenn was there with a smiling face and coffee ready for our early morning start. And Jamie set up everything so beautifully, including all of our decor that was very intricate (my favorite being the most amazing bookshelf escort wall I made, using The Barn’s shelf out on the patio!)\nJamie did a wonderful job keeping everyone on time and in the right place. When the shuttle went to the wrong pickup location, Jamie got it all figured out and even though we started the ceremony late because of it, we were able to make up some time and stay on schedule for the rest of the evening. \nOverall, we are beyond happy with our day! The weather and the foliage were perfect, and every single detail came together so beautifully. This place is a hidden gem.\n\nThe Mansion – A Dream Venue\n\nThe historic Art Deco mansion is stunning. Normally, a property this grand would be a museum, roped off with security. But here, they make it clear: this place is yours for the weekend. You feel at home—but in the coolest home imaginable. Your guests can freely explore, adding to an unforgettable experience.\n\nSeamless Layout & Guest Comfort\n\nThe layout is flawless. From the bridal suite, I watched the ceremony setup unfold and saw guests trickling in. Everything is steps away—the farthest guest room is under a two-minute walk to the ceremony. From there, it's a short, scenic stroll to the terrace and tent for the reception, all set against gorgeous marble architecture.\n\nOne overlooked wedding detail? Bathrooms. The mansion has elegant restrooms nearby, and with guests staying on-site, they could use their rooms—so no bathroom lines! Need to grab a jacket, touch up makeup, or charge your phone? You can do so without missing a thing. If you have a dog, it's easy to check on them—or even bring them back to the dance floor (our guests did!).\n\nIncredible Food\n\nChoosing a caterer can be nerve-wracking, but the Wilburton’s food is exceptional. If you tried every caterer in the country, this would still be #1. Fresh, local, and plentiful—they do not skimp. The hardest part was picking appetizers and entrées because we loved them all!\n\nTheir wedding tasting event is genius. It’s set up like a real wedding—cocktail hour with appetizers, a seated dinner with entrée samples, and drinks to try. You also meet other couples, swap planning tips, and experience the top-notch service firsthand.\n\nWorld-Class Service & Staff\n\nThe Wilburton’s team is extraordinary—polished, professional, and genuinely invested in your day. A perfect example: an hour before the tasting event, I realized I forgot to RSVP for my plus one. I let a waiter know, expecting chaos. Instead, they discreetly rearranged seating, added food, and learned my guest’s name—all without anyone noticing. Their team made everything smooth, especially when we encountered guest change and extra guest issue. Molly solved it super quickly. We also chose to reserved most of the rooms in the claybrook hotel so it is very convenient for welcome party and the wedding. We could not go up the mountain due to raining and windy but we had wedding on the grass. The photos came out so nice.
