My SIL had Clockwork perform at her wedding in 2017, and it was an easy decision to have them at our wedding a few weeks ago (July 2025). The team was patient and accommodating during the planning process, even when we had a last-minute tweak the week of the wedding. Greg and co. brought an incredible amount of energy on our wedding day. Our dance floor stayed packed for the entire night and multiple relatives called us to rave about the band after the wedding. We highly recommend booking Clockwork for your wedding.

Clockwork absolutely crushed it at our wedding! From the very first song to the last dance, they had every single guest on their feet — and no one wanted the night to end. Their talent is off the charts, their energy is infectious, and their professionalism is unmatched. They had a great set list, they are totally professional and outstanding musicians - and I'm a professional drummer/musician! I'm telling you, this band is OUTSTANDING! I can't say enough good things!! Multiple guests, and the staff at the venue, told us it was the best wedding band they’d ever seen — and we couldn’t agree more. We booked Clockwork for our June 21st wedding in New York and it was the best decision we made. The band played such a huge role in making our wedding night amazing. They had great energy, kept the dance floor full, and really knew how to read the crowd. We've had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed the music and how much fun they had. We first saw Clockwork Boston perform at a friend’s wedding and were completely blown away so much so that we knew right then and there we had to have them at ours. And wow, did they deliver! From start to finish, they brought incredible energy, talent, and fun to our celebration. One of the things our guests keep mentioning is how they never wanted to leave the dance floor. Clockwork Boston played an amazing variety of music that had everyone from our youngest cousins to our grandparents up and dancing. They struck the perfect balance and truly had something for everyone. What really stood out to us was how much fun the band members themselves were having. Their energy was contagious, and it was so clear they genuinely love what they do. We will learn it! Or we can play the actual recording for you to dance to. Dancing to the recording is quite common, and for a lot of couples it removes those "first dance jitters" because they know exactly how it’s going to sound (and quite often they’ve been practicing dancing to the recording). Honestly, you won't offend us in the least if you ask us to "DJ" your first dance!

Most wedding receptions are 5 hours long: 1 hour for cocktails, and 4 hours for the reception (dinner and dancing), and there’s a reason for that. A four-hour reception seems to be the right amount of time to create a very fun atmosphere, to get everyone dancing, and have the energy peak before people get too tired. Keep in mind that after dinner, there is continuous high-energy music until the end of the reception.

During a 4-hour reception, we take two breaks. The first is during dinner when the main course is being served. After dinner we play two dance sets, and bridge the gap between these two sets with the high-energy DJ set (about 15 minutes in length).

Yes. In fact, you can put together your own custom playlist specifying exactly which songs are to be played during each break. Just give us a list, and we'll put it together! Or you can rely on us to put together a great mix to "DJ" the breaks.

No. We perform only one event each day, thereby giving each event our undivided attention. Furthermore, you will never be charged a penalty or extra stipend if your reception happens to be during “crossover” times (from late afternoon into early evening).

Getting your guests to the dance floor and keeping them there is our number one goal; isn’t that why you hire a band in the first place? Having performed at so many weddings in the past, we have a good sense as to which songs to pick to get people on the dance floor. Once the dancing has started, we string songs together into medleys (so there’s not that awkward “dead air” in between songs), gradually building the energy from one song to the next.
