Based out of Brooklyn, NY, DJ KDOT LIM (Kevin Lim) is a 20+ year professional open format DJ that brings a unique blend of nightlife, wedding, & event experience to the wedding process and day-of. With a DJ style thats both engaging & fitting at all times, he understands not only what to play, but how and when to play it most effectively. Whether it be mainstream or alternative music, there will be dancing (and singing) ensuring your celebration is unforgettable. In addition to providing DJ services & sound equipment, Kevin will provide MC services, making any announcements and introductions throughout your reception.

While creatively mixing an extensive array of music, genres & eras ('50s - current), he also specializes in Top40, Pop, House (Deep, Tech, Tropical, Disco), EDM, HipHop, R&B, Funk, Soul, Disco, Motown, Latin, Reggaeton, Salsa, Afrobeat, Reggae, Dancehall, Rock (Classic, Alternative, Indie, Pop-Punk, Country + more). He offers consultations to ensure he understands your vision and caters to your taste. You can even create a do-not-play list upon request. A top-quality sound system, including wireless microphones can be provided.

    DJ KDOT LIM is the best!! He knows how to read a room and play the right songs to get the party going. I've been to several events where he has DJ'd and they've all been different themes/types of parties and he's nailed them all. I can't wait for my next party with DJ KDOT LIM playing because I just know we are all going to have a blast!!

    We didn't curate a specific playlist. Just gave Kevin the vibe we were looking for and what kind of music we usually listen to. He really did a fantastic job selecting the music for the night. All my friends had nothing but good things to say about the music selection. Communication with him is very easy; always responded in a timely manner.

    Booking Kevin for our wedding was the best decision that we made. Kevin is incredibly diligent, talented, and professional - he toured our venue on his own time and found the "vibe" that we were looking for. He absolutely crushed it - from young adult to older adults, he kept everyone on the dance floor and having an amazing time! He was able to mix genres and songs that catered to all our guests and had them flow seamlessly. We have received MANY compliments on how great he was and would highly recommend!!

    We got so many compliments on our DJ, with guests saying that this was the most fun wedding they had ever attended! Kevin really listened to our preferences (a mix of wedding classics like Abba and Earth Wind and Fire, transitioning into EDM like Avicii and Galantis) and got everyone on to the dance floor. The transitions between songs were seamless, and he did actual mixing - My personal favorite was a mix of Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Stop Now” and Taylor Swift’s “Love Story”. He also went above and beyond to coordinate with our string trio to customize our grand entrance transition into a first dance. Booking Kevin for your wedding or event will be the best decision you make!
