Hands down the EASIEST and best company to work with. Owner Nick worked with us from start to finish, complete with monthly email checklists, Zoom meetings, and phone calls. The app they use to arrange the music for our wedding was incredibly user friendly and honestly so fun to play around with. Every single idea and vision we had came to life. Our actual DJ for the wedding, Steve, was nothing short of amazing. He kept the dance floor full. Everyone commented on how awesome our music selection was. The day was a total blur for me, but Steve kept me on track and constantly found me to update what was next on the timeline. He was beyond helpful. I can't recommend this company enough!

We had our wedding at Riverside Receptions in Geneva, IL, and working with Impulse was one of the best decisions we made. Justin was our main DJ, with Nick assisting for the ceremony. Our venue required sound in three separate spaces (outdoor ceremony, indoor cocktail hour, and reception), and their setup was flawless. Justin was incredible—professional, organized, and fun. Guests loved the shoe game (which he announced), the couples dance (an Impulse suggestion I’d definitely recommend), and the fantastic playlist. The dance floor was full all night, and we didn’t want the night to end! As a Type A bride, I also appreciated the planning app—they made it easy to visualize the timeline, feel confident about our music choices, and trust everything would run smoothly. We’re so grateful to Justin and the Impulse team. If you want a stress-free, high-energy event with amazing music, book them!

From our first meeting, I knew Nick from Impulse Entertainment was the perfect choice! His energy and genuine excitement stood out right away. He also took the time to understand our music preferences and vision for the day. It was really important to us that our DJ understood our song preferences, especially because my (now) husband and I have different tastes. To say the least, Nick absolutely delivered!! Nick blended everything seamlessly—our dance floor was packed all night! Beyond the music, Nick constantly checked in to make sure we were doing well. He is not just a talented DJ, but a truly kind and thoughtful person. We’re so glad we chose him—he made our night unforgettable!! Highly recommend Nick!!!

We hired Impulse DJs for my daughter's wedding. I was most excited about the photo booth experience. My cousin's family used Impulse Entertainment for their wedding in June 2023. We had such a great time, so I asked and we hired them. Nick (the owner) and Steve (our DJ) were amazing. They had several meetings with the bride and groom to go over their play lists and discuss the vibe for the wedding. It was an amazing NON-STOP-DANCE-PARTY! Paulina did a fantastic job staffing the photo booth. She was engaging and helpful. The addition of the couples special LOGO on all the photos was choice. The photo book and colorful markers and tape made for a memorable and immediate keepsake. Thank you SO MUCH for making the special day MOST SPECIAL!

We are here to help you! Once we set up a consultation meeting and discuss your event, you can leave the stressing out to us! We will take care of everything necessary to make your event run as smoothly as possible. Also, we like to show genuine care and support along with a great attitude and a high energy profile to keep you and your guests entertained throughout your entire event. When it is all said and done the newest equipment can only go so far. What you really pay for is a DJ that knows you and what you want and can read your crowd to keep them on the dance floor all night.

Yes! We are covered up to $1,000,000 for any liability incident. This means that you, your guests, and your venue are covered! If your venue requires vendor insurance, please make sure to let us know and we’ll do the rest!

Absolutely! Beatmixing songs together (like you would hear a radio DJ do), ensures that there aren’t many pauses between songs and will keep you and your guests on the dance floor all night long without having to stop dancing and wait for the next song to start up again. We will make sure to keep the atmosphere fun and energetic!

We understand that many events (especially weddings) have guests from the ages of 2 to 92! The last thing we want to do is offend anyone with inappropriate lyrics. We make sure that all of our music (even today’s popular songs) is edited to please everyone. In fact, that is all we will play unless you request otherwise at a meeting. Furthermore, we use our best judgement when there are younger people in the crowd to make it a fun-filled night for everyone.

Most definitely! — But this is up to you. If you want your guests to request songs, we will take requests. If you want us to honor a specific playlist we will do that too! By taking requests, your guests can get involved in your event and we can have some fun and interact with them as well!

Currently, we serve Chicago’s north, west, and south suburbs. However, we are not opposed to traveling further for events. We must note that if your event is out of our service area, there will be an increase in price for travel costs.

With over 100,000,000 songs in our online databases, we are sure to have the music you want! If we don’t have it, we get it for you at no extra cost. Also, our songs are downloaded at the highest quality possible (and legally) to ensure you and your guests are experience a crisp, clear sound.
