quartet442 is based in Rochester, NY. All members hold high degrees from the Eastman School of Music are active teachers and performers in the musical community. We have extensive experience performing at weddings, private events, benefits, dinners, and much more! quartet442 exemplifies professionalism, elegance, and the pure joy of sharing music.
We have been performing as a string quartet since 2012 and have extensive experience in weddings and events. A string quartet is a chamber ensemble consisting of two violins, one viola, and one cello. String instruments produce a warm, rich, expressive, and soulful sound. We're biased, but a string quartet creates a beautiful and romantic atmosphere for your event!

Great Quartet!
Quartet442 was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! They played at our wedding in Fall 2024. Elise was easy to communicate with and always responsive to our questions. On the day of, the group played beautifully during both our ceremony and part of cocktail hour. Their music selection was great, and they had a mix of classical and modern which was what we were looking for. The group was timely and we had no issues. I only wish I could have enjoyed their playing more, a bit busy getting married I suppose. I highly recommend them to any couple!

We were so happy with Quartet422 that performed at my daughter’s wedding ceremony. In fact we liked them so much we had them again for a second daughter. Elise was easy to work with guiding us through an extensive list of classic and pop music choices.
