Hi, we're The Moon Units! We're known throughout California for our 650+ song list, our authentic on-stage chemistry, and performances that clients have called "better than the original bands" that recorded the songs. And because we're a real band, we offer prices that are just a fraction of what corporate booking agencies charge. We can't wait to play for you!

Five things set The Moon Units apart from other wedding bands. 1. Versatility: We know over 650 songs in all sorts of genres, and add new ones all the time. 2. Talent: Our players and singers hail from top music programs like Berklee College of Music, UCLA, and CalArts. 3. Authenticity: Ever go to a wedding and think the band was so ridiculously cheesy? Not The Moon Units! We're as authentic as a band you'd see in live club or theater. 4. Fun: How does fronting the band during live band karaoke sound? You can do it! It's available with all our packages. 5. Respect: We treat our clients with respect and never slap them with hidden fees.

    The Moon Units were the icing on the cake of our perfect wedding day! From booking through their final song, they were incredibly professional, communicative and attentive to our musical tastes. We initially picked the Moon Units because of their fun sound, instrumentation, and deep catalogue of music. We had a blast working with Dylan and the band to curate our wedding “playlist” and overall vibe. The band proved to be incredibly versatile and kept the party going all night. They especially nailed our specially-requested music, right down to our perfectly timed grand entrance at our reception. In the days following our wedding, we’ve gotten the most compliments on our choice of music, and we couldn’t agree more. The Moon Units made our wedding an unforgettable night!

    The Moon Units were recommended to us by a friend who had seen them at another event. We were choosing between the Moon Units and another band, and we ultimately chose The Moon Units for a few reasons - their price was reasonable, their song list was huge, and they offered to help us with music in multiple parts of the wedding - the ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception. In planning for a wedding, you can get recommendations and you can speak to the band ahead of time, but you never really know how it will work out until the day comes. What I can say is that the Moon Units were superstars of our wedding. From rehearsing multiple songs with singers on the day of the wedding, including a chorus of 20 friends, to playing tasteful music during the cocktail hour, to rocking out during the reception, the Moon Units were total pros and they sounded fantastic. Their sound mixing is top quality. Our guests raved about the band, and the Moon Units brought exactly the energy you would hope for to make for a great reception. Dylan, their band leader, is a pleasure to deal with, super accommodating and flexible. My wife and I would recommend the Moon Units in a heartbeat, and we will be eternal fans!

    If you need one band that is full of talented musicians and stunning vocalists, is easy to work with and will help you make your event a success, The Moon Units is the band for you. We booked The Moon Units for our wedding and had them play the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They played classics such as Fly Me to the Moon to new hits like Pink Pony Club to nostalgic punk like Still Into You. No matter the genre the band brought the right energy and enthusiasm. The Moon Units also learned three new songs for our wedding and provided all the audio technical support. They played from 5pm to 11pm and always kept our guests moving and vibing. A testament to their ability the dance floor only cleared after the last song of the evening. The Moon Units created the right atmosphere for our wedding and our guests repeatedly told us how impressed they were by the band. We would recommend The Moon Units to anyone looking for band, no matter the event. Thank you for making our wedding day so incredible!

    We couldn’t have asked for a better band for our wedding than The Moon Units. From the very first note to the final encore, they absolutely rocked our celebration and kept the dance floor packed all night long. Their talent is undeniable—tight musicianship, incredible vocals, and a playlist that had something for everyone, from timeless classics to dance floor bangers. They read the room perfectly, ramping up the energy at just the right moments and bringing a genuine joy to every performance.
