Hi, I am MirShanda the owner and chef of Kismet's Cakes located in Decatur, Ga. Growing up with a love of all things sweet and beautiful I found myself seeking a way to express myself both in the kitchen and artistically. Eventually, I found a way to combine my love of pastry and art. I decided to enroll at the Art Institute of Atlanta where I earned my degree in Culinary Arts with a concentration in baking and pastry. After graduating I worked for a short time in a bakery located in the Buckhead area and then chose to go into my business for myself.

The owner and chef of Kismet’s Cakes has earned a degree in culinary arts with a concentration in baking and pastry from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Soon after graduating in 2013 she chose to go into business for herself and has been creating beautiful and delicious cakes for all occasions and couples ever since.

    By far one of the best experience I’ve had! Mirshanda was very attentive and even thought of the small details. Cake work was very detailed and the flavor was magnificent. We went with a less traditional look and everything was perfect. I also opted for a dessert table to fit the decor and theme, sweets and fresh fruit. It was amazing!!

    MirShanda was very pleasant, accommodating and very easy to work with. Her sample box had an awesome variety of cake types and though we aren't vegan, we chose the vegan cake and cupcakes for our wedding. IT WAS A HIT WITH EVERYONE! Nobody knew it was vegan and we didn't have any leftovers, which was the goal! It's very obvious that she loves what she does and have pride in her products, and it shows. Our wedding was 4/20/2024 and she arrived on time and there wasn't a hitch. We would highly recommend her.
