At the heart of our business is a commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. We believe in the importance of taking care of our planet. Our dedication to sustainability is reflected in our choice of being a 100% foam-free florist, as well as our efforts to compost all organic scraps, minimize waste, and use local blooms when possible. We are also committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing their unique vision for their wedding, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. Couldn't be happier with Althea Floral Design!
We came to Julian on the recommendation of our photographer, as we were doing an elopement without guests, and we wanted funky, bold, and nontraditional vibes for our queer wedding. Despite being the first customers of the Althea A La Carte experience, we were impressed with how easy it was to choose which pieces we wanted. We ended up going with some smaller vases, hair pieces, and boutonnieres. Julian was also willing to use some mushroom propagation vases we found, and it was very easy to drop them off ahead of time. We felt like Julian perfectly understood our vision, and his touch made our wedding day so much more our own. Overall, we had a great time working with Julian, and would highly recommend them for any future events, large or small!

Our wedding planner recommended Althea Floral Design, and we were very satisfied with the process and how everything turned out on the day of the wedding. My partner and I got married at an aquarium, and Julian’s vision for our florals was exactly what we had in mind and better. They were also very attentive to our concerns and professional. 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a florist.

Julian is an artist. We wanted whimsical and bold florals to bring charm and brightness to our wedding day, and they delivered beyond what we had even imagined. Their artistry speaks for itself (look at the pics!), but on top of that, we really appreciated their prompt and clear communication throughout the entire process. Their pricing is extremely fair for the quality and creativity they deliver. They kept us informed every step of the way without overwhelming us, and they were adaptable and professional on the day of the wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better florist!

Julian came recommended to me by our photographer, and I'm so so glad I reached out to them to learn more! From the first virtual meeting and throughout the entire planning process, Julian was genuinely interested in my partner and I as a couple, what the mood/vibe/aesthetic was for our wedding vision, and how they could work with us and our venue to make our perfect wedding a reality. They absolutely knocked it out of the park, and created the florals of my dreams. Our guests kept coming up to us and raving about the florals, and Julian also came back at the end of the night to create bouquets out of our centerpieces for guests to take home with them. 10/10 experience!
