Creating Dreamy Bridal Hair in the PNW and Beyond!

I'm new to Zola, but not to Bridal Hair! With 17 years dedicated to crafting beautiful hair, and 8 of those in Bridal styling. My experience aids to specializing in varying styles - from vintage, to boho, to a modern esthetic. Recently, my partner and I made the exciting move to Portland from San Francisco. I can’t wait to discover all the stunning wedding venues the PNW has to offer! When I'm not doing hair, you can find me trying a new coffee shop, making kombucha, or hiking with my husband and our dog, Livia. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

My Hair Philosophy evolves around putting Collaboration and Sustainability first. I believe in creating hairstyles that perfectly complement a Brides unique personality and style - so we'll work together to make sure your hair dreams come to life! I also like to be mindful of my Brides comfort level within the hairstyle - so that they not only look good, but feel good! Sustainability is at the heart of my business. I believe in creating a healthier planet and happier clients. I hired April for my wedding day and I could not be happier with the entire process. She was super responsive and got my trial booked with very short notice. The day of the wedding I completely changed the style I wanted and she was so accommodating and did such an amazing job. She did all my bridesmaids as well and everyone looked perfect. She is the best!!!

How lucky was I to have found April for my special day! I got in touch with April through a referral from a friend who had nothing but good things to say about their experience. My initial consult made me feel more at ease and helped me decide what look to go with since it can be overwhelming! I also opted to see April to get my hair cut and colored right before the wedding, and felt confident and pretty, and enjoyed getting to visit and chat with April before the main event. On my wedding day she did hair for my three bridesmaids as well before styling me. They all had a great experience and looked amazing! April executed my romantic vision, and even added in some flowers to match my bouquet. I loved how it turned out, and my hair stayed up and secure all day and night. I loved working with April for my special day, but I love even more that we remained friends! She is fun, funny, creative, and brings a calming energy. She also continues to do my cuts and colors. I always do and always will recommend April!

April did my hair for my wedding in June, 2022. I left my trial feeling even more excited about my wedding because she was amazing at helping me figure out the right style for me - to feel like myself, but a little fancier. I loved the style she created. On my wedding day, April brought such a calm presence to the room. Everyone in my wedding party was thrilled with their hair styles and enjoyed getting the chance to sit in her chair. I absolutely loved my wedding day hair - it was exactly as we'd planned, lasted all night (through some serious dancing) and was comfortable the entire event. April is an absolute expert and I'd trust her completely with my hair for any occasion!

April is so good at what she does! After I booked her to do my hair for my wedding, she became my regular hairstylist because she’s that amazing. April worked with me to find the perfect laidback but elevated style for my wedding day and I even went to her for a cut before the wedding to make sure everything was ready for the day. She is fun, professional, and a joy to be around. She also styled my bridesmaids and the moms, and everyone looked perfect. I couldn’t recommend her more.
