I have studied Indian, North African, and Middle Eastern henna design in depth, and am happy to create designs in a broad range of strictly traditional styles, or to combine traditional patterns with more individualized, unique elements for a customized henna experience.

1-4 days before the ceremony. 1 day before is very common for those who want to take advantage of our all-day rate and have their mehndi party the same day as the bride/groom henna is applied, and is very much the traditional norm. 2-4 days allows for the henna to fully darken in time for the ceremony, if that is important to you.

5 minutes is our quickest design, and the norm for large parties. At smaller parties, we sometimes spend 10-30 minutes per person.

Your henna artist will ONLY be working on your wedding on the day you book! Rather than driving from event to event, trying to fit in as many brides as possible within a single day and therefore being an overextended frazzled mess, your artist is able to focus ENTIRELY on YOU - your bridal henna, your event, your guests, your vision. You are hiring your henna artist not only for their artistry, but also their interpersonal skills, professional manner, and of course experience in working large events and dealing tactfully with all your guests. By booking artists who book exclusively at a day rate, you are booking with proven professionals.

Heather is truly a professional, in every way. I enjoyed working with her because once I engaged her services I didn't have to give it another thought - she took care of everything and was so calm, organized, and thoughtful! The designs were absolutely exquisite and so beautifully done. She's an artist, and her work really makes a big impression. I highly recommend her!

Complete professionalism from start to finish. The diversity in design offered by Heather makes for a fun experience, and can fit so many different personalities. When I don't know what I want for henna, she always comes up with something to make me smile. Fair prices, relaxing experience, worth it every time.

I'd first met Heather at a Rhode Island PrideFest, and instantly saw how much talent she had. Every piece she did looked amazing, her precision was immaculate. I went to her several times over the years, and when my now wife and I began planning our wedding, I brought up the idea of having wedding henna done. My wife agreed, and I knew immediately that I needed to contact Heather. We met up with her at a nearby farm where she was holding a henna event, and she sat with us discussing what we would like done for the wedding for probably a half-hour or so. She sketched design ideas out, which we loved, and made a contract right then and there. Our wedding henna was stunning. We received so many compliments on it that night, and repeatedly after as it lasted beautifully for quite some time. We still get comments if someone sees wedding photos. Throughout the entire process, Heather was a dream to work with. Very kind and professional, she is exactly the caring presence a stressed bride-to-be needs.
