Terence Ward, the founder of Weddings in the Gunks, believes that everyone deserves to have this important moment in their story celebrated with a healthy mix of dignity and joy. Exactly what's in that mix is more up to the clients than anybody else. It can include sacred religious moments like blessing the couple or fasting their hands, science fiction elements like a Bajoran blessing, time-honored traditions such as breaking a glass, and remembering loved ones who are no longer with us.

We are writers and storytellers, and we are here to reflect your values. With backgrounds in journalism and writing fiction, constructing ritual, and speaking in public, the tools are all available to create a ceremony that reflects who you are, and is performed where you like it. Whether in a spacious catering hall or alongside a lake in a state park, in an historic castle or a cemetery, within a sacred circle or where you had your first date, your ceremony can and will be officiated in the way you always imagined. Bring your dreams, and we'll find a way to realize them.

    Weddings in the Gunks were excellent wedding officiants for our special day. Their communication was prompt, with quick responses to emails and calls throughout the planning process. Terrance, our officiant, was extremely detail-oriented and tailored the introduction and ceremony to capture our unique style as a couple. The ceremony he composed was truly one-of-a-kind and perfectly reflected our relationship. We couldn't have asked for a more personalized and memorable wedding ceremony thanks to Weddings in the Gunks. Highly recommended for couples looking for a heartfelt and customized experience.

    Terence truly took the time to not only get to know both of us, but also get to know what we wanted to say, how we wanted things to be presented, and what mood we were looking for.     It was very important to my Fiancee and I that we have a secular wedding, but we did not want to lose a sense of ceremony and occasion for our service. Terence managed to work with us to create a ceremony plan that maintained the feeling we were looking for, while being aligned with our values and making sure all family members felt included. He was happy to include and work around all the silly things that my Fiancee and I wanted to happen, and the end result was a ceremony without a dry-eye in the place. It helps that Terence is a gifted writer and speaker, I received multiple compliments at how well he managed the ceremony and how he seemed "Like the perfect fit for our wedding" and how "He was a great speaker". My Fiancee and I were, and are, so thankful that with Terrence's help we did not need to worry about the ceremony and were able to cross it off our list of things to worry about. We highly recommend Terrence, and if we were to do our whole wedding over again there is no doubt we would choose him a second time.
