A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨
My heart thoroughly informs how I run my business. I don’t put a lot of stock into photographing weddings for my portfolio or following social media trends bc those things simply don’t matter to me. What matters to me is that you are served & supported well throughout your wedding journey. For me, this looks like helping you as much as I possibly can with wedding resources, a supportive ear, honesty, vulnerability, & some giggles thrown in for good measure. I have a degree in music & business, & an MBA. I’m liberal, feminist, antiracist, & LGBTQIA+ affirming. I care about you & your lived experiences deeply.

We cannot recommend Sweet Alice Photography enough!!!! If you are getting married in the Hudson Valley area, you won’t find a more professional, personable or talented photographer than Erica! When we decided to spend our lives together, we knew we wanted a wedding that was an authentic presentation of who we were; a celebration of two families coming together that was filled with color and nature. We called upon family and close friends to help us with their talents for many elements of our wedding, but knew we needed a professional behind the lens to capture our big day. Erica at Sweet Alice Photography seemed like the perfect fit for us. Her honest and candid photos tell a story that feels real without excessive filtering. We felt so comfortable working with Erica. She was cheerful, communicative and accommodating through every step of the process. Regular email updates and words of encouragement arrived in our inboxes unprompted, and even when we had to make a last minute venue change she was so incredibly supportive. She really felt like part of the family! We loved the preview shots she sent us within days of the ceremony and couldn’t wait to share them with all our guests. We were surprised to receive all our images so quickly and in an adorable gift box with the coolest flash drive!!!

One of our very close friends is a wedding photographer, so when we started planning our own wedding, we asked her for advice on picking a photographer since she would be a guest at ours. She sent us several recommendations of different photographers and different styles, but as soon as we saw Erica's work, we were hooked! Since then, we became so close with her because she is so kind and dedicated to making every step of the wedding journey special and exactly what we wanted. We got our photos back so quickly and we still can't stop looking at them! She helped the entire day run smoothly and now we have such beautiful memories that will last us our lifetimes. We would book Erica again in a heartbeat and do the whole thing again if we could!

Erica leaves such an everlasting impression on you. She is the most kind hearted, attentive, and caring individual. I knew from the first day we met Erica and how comfortable she made us feel that she was the photographer we needed for our wedding. She makes you feel so at ease and shares the best ideas for poses. We don't even know where to begin singing Erica's praises. When she says "Client Friend" she really means it. This is exactly how she treated us from our very first Zoom meeting with her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... My husband and I are both very much not photo people, but ten minutes into our engagement shoot it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. We heard this over and over again from our friends and family at the wedding too. AND THE PICTURES. Some of my favorites are the candids she took when I didn't even know she was shooting. We had such a lovely time re-living our wedding through the album she sent us. We both said that we were glad we didn't end up spending extra money on a videographer because your photos told the whole story of our day so beautifully! I can't emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Erica- there is no one else we can imagine spending so much of our special day with. I plan to encourage everyone I know to try and book her for their weddings- if only so we can hang out with her again!
