I've officiated weddings in all sorts of places around the world from Sweden to the Philippines. I've married over 1500 people over the past 10 years. I've worked at weddings with total budgets from $250 to $500,000. And while those facts may demonstrate my professionalism, frankly I think they are irrelevant. You can ignore all that because what's important at a ceremony isn't me, where I've been or what I've done. It's the two of you. Yes! YOU are the most important thing at your ceremony. Let me craft a story about your love. I do not discriminate and believe everyone can love whoever they want and that everyone deserves to be loved.

What good is finding the perfect location, inviting your closest friends and family and getting dressed up if the ceremony is going to be awkward, boring and forgettable? There is a lot that goes into helping everyone get calm and confident for the big day. It's not only a lot of preparation, but also conveying a message that resonates with you and your guests and answers the question that everyone's thinking but not saying, "Are they really right for each other?" You can just go through the motions, but why settle for that? Let me help you get lost in the moment while you do those things, so that no one will ask that question ever again.

Scot was wonderful to work with. He had a thorough, friendly, and helpful communication style that put us at ease from the first consultation. He walked us through everything we needed to know about the ceremony, which was incredibly helpful since we had no idea what to expect. I've been officiating since 2014. At the time, my wife was one of the preeminent florists in Denver and as a dutiful husband, I helped her deliver flowers for a lot of weddings. We always stayed through the ceremony to make sure the flowers were in tip top shape for family photos. As such, I watched a lot of officiants ply their craft. Sadly, I wasn't impressed by any of them. I figured I could do a lot better, and one day, I decided to prove it myself. So with the help of my friend Micah, we started Wedlock Officiants.

As of 2025, somewhere in the neighborhood of 750. I've married people in their kitchens, backyards, alleyways, hotels, parks, tops of mountains, islands, beaches, ski-slopes... just so many places. As far as guest counts, I've done ceremonies for just the couple by themselves and all the way up to 400 people.

Absolutely! However, as I don't know your story, I can't just conjure personalization out of nothing [laughs]. I will need your help to write the sections you want to make your own.

I think rehearsals can be vital. Now that said, depending on the guest count and a couple's comfort level being in front of their guests, sometimes they can be unnecessary. The most important thing about a rehearsal is that the couple learns what to do during the ceremony and is confident doing it. It's hard to profess your love in front of people. But it's even more difficult if you don't know where to stand, what to do with your hands or where you should be looking.

You bet! Each wedding is a process. As a society we generally try to do everything all at once. That is legal marriage, couple's promise (vows), pronouncement of marriage and witnessing all in one package. But it doesn't have to be done that way. And I support whatever a couple wants to do.
