From my first moment as a wedding photographer, I knew I wanted to kick tradition to the curb. I was tried of seeing wedding photography that excluded the communities that I hold closest. I work hard to form a real connection with each of my clients to craft an experience that captures their unique spirit.

I prioritize personal connection. I meet with all of my clients in person at least 2 times (once for elopements within a short timeframe). I want to get to know you so that I can capture your day in the most authentic way.

I found Unabridged Photography while looking for documentary/photojournalistic style photographers for our Chicago wedding. As soon as we talked to Ashley, we looked no further. Throughout the entire process they were collaborative and communicative. Our engagement shoot felt like meeting up with a friend. We were able to blend more editorial portraits with a candid depiction of our day. Ashley never makes you feel like any shot or maneuver is hard even as they are running behind you with four cameras strapped to their body- and you appreciate having every format. The result of that effort was an array of photos, both glamorous and understated, like nothing I've never seen, and something I could have pulled from my parents' wedding album. Not only an incredibly talented photographer, Ashley had great suggestions for shooting locations and is knowledgeable of what the city has to offer (and even suggested the bar where we hosted our Welcome Drinks!!). We opted out of having video at our wedding for several reasons, so the stakes for the photography were pretty high. Ashley's images made our wedding with nearly 200 guests feel intimate and look like a rager. You spend a lot of your wedding day with your photographer regardless of how posed your day is, and you can only hope that they are as warm, chill, and likeable as Ashley.

Unabridged Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was easy, open, and fun, which made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work and value was unbelievable - their eye for capturing the beauty in everything is truly unmatched. The team at Unabridged was the most fun to work with, and I am in awe of the captivating, high-quality photos they delivered. I couldn't and wouldn't suggest anyone better for wedding photography. I wish I could give a million star review!

Ashley is so perceptive and talented! I told her a little bit about us and our style and she created the right balance between moodiness and fun that we wanted. She always got back to us just under 24 hours and answered every question that we had. She is dedicated to her clients and their needs. I enjoyed being in her company because she made us feel comfortable. She understood our needs and never pressured us to do anything out of our comfort zone. We are a more laid back, care-free couple, so we gave Ashley lots of space to experiment and it definitely paid off. If nothing else has convinced you, we have already booked our 1 year anniversary photos with her and I will continue to go back to her for any event that should be photographed.

There truly aren’t enough good things to say about Ashley!!! From the second we reached out to her about photographing our elopement, her professionalism, communication, and creativity were 10/10. She offered so many great ideas for photo locations (including locations for an included mini engagement photoshoot) and came up with contingency plans for our wedding day that alleviated a lot of stress. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we loved spending the day (all 12 hours!) with her. The photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined - we really cannot recommend her enough!
