Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

The Best Day Ever!!
We had our wedding on April 30th this year at The Wheeler House and it was an absolute DREAM!!! Everyone was so polite, kind, and responsive from the very beginning. Our coordinator, Ashley, was the best! She was flexible, answered all my questions, and kept me feeling positive and prepared! We also had THW package, which included arriving at the venue at 10am, and included vendors: Events by Dezine as our caterer, Confection Perfection as our cake baker, and The TC Show as our DJ. Each vendor was incredibly perfect and DELIVERED with their services - our guests loved the food and cake, and everyone was dancing all night thanks to our DJ, Brett! I will recommend The Wheeler House over and over again - we're so blessed to have had our special day here in such capable and helping hands!

The Wheeler House was a perfect wedding venue!! From the minute we toured, we fell in love. It has a perfect mixture of Southern charm & elegance matched with their AMAZING staff and recommended vendors. They did all the heavy lifting in the planning process and on the wedding day. They worked hard to ensure my husband and I were as stress free as possible all throughout the wedding planning process and on the wedding day. Special shoutout to Laiken, our coordinator who was our right hand man in this whole process - she treated us & out families like gold. The Wheeler House is a special place & we are so thankful we had our wedding there - we already miss being in constant contact with their team!!!

The Wheeler House gave us the wedding of our dreams this spring! We fell in love with the beautiful venue and reasonable price and were so impressed by their communication, attention to detail, and organization throughout the planning process and on the big day. Our coordinator, Laiken, was incredible. She was very responsive, made each decision so easy, and helped the day run smoothly. Any issues that came up throughout the day were quickly resolved by the team and I truly was able to enjoy every bit of the day. We could not recommend the Wheeler House more!

The Wheeler House and their recommended vendors were absolutely incredible for our wedding. We were drawn in by how beautiful the venue was and decided to move forward after having an informative tour and reviewing reasonable pricing. We were not looking forward to how stressful wedding planning can be, so we loved how inclusive The Wheeler House was and how easy they made the process. The package we purchased included the venue, catering (up to 125 people), DJ, cake, bartender, coordinator, tables & chairs, and more. They also had quarterly events to try various catering options and meet vendors, which was super helpful as we were making decisions. We were overjoyed to have Laiken as our coordinator, and we cannot express enough how wonderful she was - she truly made our planning and wedding day go smoothly! Every person we worked with during the process was easy to communicate with, helpful and kind. The care and attention to detail the coordinators and other staff members put into making the wedding successful is unmatched. We received endless compliments from our guests about our wedding venue, ceremony and reception - they thought it was beautiful and are still talking about how delicious the food was (we may need to beg for the macaroni and cheese recipe). One thing that made The Wheeler House extra special to us was that we felt like we could be absolutely authentic - they provided such a genuine and loving environment for us to get married, and that really made the experience top-notch. We highly recommend The Wheeler House!
