The CSULB Japanese Garden was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was quick, insightful, and provided detailed responses to our questions. The venue itself has a quiet, chic, and calming atmosphere, allowing the natural beauty of the gardens to shine. They were extremely accommodating, helping my children take advantage of all the activities available. Under the new management, they were able to work with me much closer than any other venue I had considered. Omar in particular was a pleasure to work with, and their pricing was very fair. From beginning to end, Daniel & Stephanie were a pleasure to work with. They were on top of everything we requested and were thoroughly organized. Daniel (executive chef), Stephanie and the lovely staff helped put together the most amazing and unforgettable experience during our outdoor wedding at the Santa Anita Arboretum. Guests were raving so much about the food and drinks!! They passed canapes (small bites) and fine wines to pair, we had Spanish toast & taco bar stations, the 3-course dinner was magical, I’m still thinking of the swordfish and my husband still talks about the steak! Magical! Omg the chocolate tart ganache with a heart shape laced chip was beautifully done. My husband and I are still dreaming of them. We cannot thank them enough. Everyone said so many good things and left with full bellies.

We chose to have our ceremony at the garden site and our reception in the ballroom. Our guests loved the venue and kept raving about the food. We had a very specific music-themed wedding, where we wanted to incorporate little touches of our story, and the venue and team were able to help us execute our vision seamlessly! They were very accommodating when we wanted to enter the venue early for hair and makeup and helped us with our timeline, which made everything on the day-of go smoothly.
