River Highlands Ranch was the one.\n\nThe venue is seriously stunning. The barn has an elegant, elevated feel, but it’s still totally relaxed and surrounded by vineyards, gardens, rolling hills, and open space that just makes you breathe easier. We had a small wedding and did our ceremony under the oak tree, and it was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous. There were SO many great spots for photos- the garden, vineyards, orchard, stream, pond, rolling hills, and of course the barn with it's huge green doors and beautiful vines surrounding the doorways. \n\nOne of the biggest perks was how much was already included. Beautiful farm tables, lounge furniture, cocktail tables, draping, lighting—it all looked amazing and saved us so much money (and stress). We also loved that we could bring our own alcohol.\n\nThe staff were also awesome. The wedding was perfect because the staff were so on top of everything. I never felt stressed and was able to have the best day. The STAFF!!! The winery and grounds created the perfect vibe for our ceremony and reception. Rustic with the right amount of elegance. After the beautiful courtyard ceremony, we toasted with Jeriko Estate’s amazing Brut Rose under the 100-year-old olive tree. Everyone loved the wine bar and the outside covered arbors overlooking the vineyards. The large press room was awesome for our reception dinner and dancing and saved us from the warm summer afternoon heat. One of the best parts of having our wedding at Jeriko was the onsite lodging. The wedding party stayed in the main Jeriko house that sleeps seventeen and other guests booked the casitas and homes on the property. Jennifer and the rest of the Jeriko staff made our wedding stress free and were a delight to work with. It was that and so much more! The accommodations exceeded all expectations-- beautiful, modern, eco-friendly, luxurious, and colorful! Our guests raved about the design and the comfort. Frida was so personable and helpful throughout the whole process; she made us feel like family. We got the best photographs because she showed us the secret spots up on the hill at golden hour! We arrived a day early to settle in and didn't want to leave on Sunday. The nature was magical-- especially our late-night bonfire under the stars after hours of dancing in the Barn. Oh yeah, and there's a hot tub! We cannot wait to return and re-visit the memories of our favorite weekend in our new favorite place. Highly recommend the venue, the staff, the vendor recommendations (especially Pilon Catering and Boontberry Farm). We knew we wanted to get married along the Mendocino coast and the most important things for us were being able to throw a memorable party and have incredible food. During our venue search, we were challenged with the logistics of lodging our guests (around 80) at reasonable price points, quiet hours that would cap our party time and figuring out transportation within a comfortable budget that wasn't cumbersome to our group. We were drawn to the Mac House due to it's insanely convenient location (our guests didn't have to use any cars once they arrived and enjoyed the town at their own pace within walking distance) and beautiful rooms at a very affordable rate but we were hook, line, sinker SOLD when we had dinner at the restaurant and tried their food. WOW. We worked really closely with Summer, who was the awesomely vivacious Mac House coordinator and our personal cheerleader as we embarked on planning our wedding within 6 months. We decided to have our ceremony a few minutes away at Cypress Grove (which the Mac House helped us plan) and due to our party size, opted to host the reception in a tent on the Mac House lawn. Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives and our guests could not stop telling us how incredible the food was, how beautiful the tent looked, and most importantly how much FUN they had. I have to give a special shoutout to the entire staff who worked our event. Everyone was so kind, so attentive, and so lovely that it made a real lasting impression on everyone. I had one guest say to me verbatim \"you never really notice the service at weddings but I noticed how amazing the service was at yours\". We had multiple people tell us that we had the best wedding food they had ever had (we're both in our late 30s so we take that compliment as high praise as most ppl have been to tons of weddings at that point) and our party kept going till midnight before some of our guests spilled over to the local bars to keep going. The only slight bump leading up to the weekend was that it was clear to us that the Mac House was navigating some moving parts with their business this year (dealing with the aftermath of a really wet winter season, ordering new furniture, etc) and it took a while to get answers to certain questions but honestly, at no point was it stressful and it all worked out beyond our expectations. Saya (the GM), Chef Alan, and Summer are all wonderful people and they worked their tails off to give us an incredible weekend that we and our family and friends will never forget. Not only is it rustic and beautiful but it radiates love and family. The Rorabaugh's are the most down to earth and loving hosts you could ever hope for. They are there for you when you need but they also allow you a lot of freedom to create the exact experience you want. And they work hard to accommodate whatever you need for your special day. For example, she allowed me to have alpacas at our wedding and talked to the Alpaca handler about the best way to get in and set up so I didn't have to. Our wedding was a dream; from the rehearsal dinner at the venue and staying in the bridal suite, to the hustle of getting ready, to walking down the aisle and finally to dancing the night away. The accommodations were unparalleled and the venue is so beautiful, it saved me tons on florals and decor.\n\nAlso when booking this venue, you get access on Friday and don't have to be gone until 3 the following Sunday. They also allow guests to camp in tents or bring RVs. This was one of my favorite parts about our wedding. A lot of my family stayed in their RVs and the morning after the wedding, it was the cutest and most fun little camp site. The proprietor woke in the morning to feed their cows and invited my little cousins to join. They also brought out their horses and my niece got to ride a horse for the first time. The pond is an adorable hang out spot where they allow catch and release fishing and rides around in the canoe plus it is an amazing background for pictures.
