I'm a videographer, and frequently film at the Lima Civic Center. The team there has always been very professional and treated me with courtesy. They've helped out when needed (like when a counterpart needed a quiet place to deal with a medical issue). They make me feel like I'm part of their team when I'm there. I've seen how they interact with wedding patrons and families, and I would not hesitate to recommend the Civic Center to couples. I also think it's very neat and convenient to have the hotel attached. I've seen weddings in several different spaces within the building, including the main convention hall, the theater, and the lobby with tremendous natural light. \n\nIn short, as a vendor I've been very pleased with my experiences at the Lima Civic Center. I reached out to inquire and Laura was SO kind, helpful and prompt with communication. We loved the venue and booked, sent out invitations and planned our wedding super quickly (after 10 years together.) Every step of the way went smoothly with planning and communication and we absolutely LOVED having our wedding there.\n\n We had room for a live band, there was plenty of parking, lots of great places for photo ops on the property, a lovely bridal room to get ready in, a silo gazebo, we could choose our own caterer, there plenty of seating (we loved the church pews and the wooden chairs,) and there were just so many other nice touches. \nWe bought small glass jars which they filled with their honey (for a reasonable fee) and we gave our guests Honey Blossom Orchard honey as the wedding reception favor.
