A Virginia native, I’ve been surrounded by nature my entire life, but never more so than when I spent summers on my Grandmother’s 300-acre farm in West Virginia. She raised me to appreciate nature’s beauty and explore what I could create myself. My Grandmother was a powerful woman, raising two babies after having been recently widowed, while also pioneering the farm and putting herself through law school. It is after her that I named my business Mountain Mama Florals. My name is Jelena, I was born and raised in a country of immaculate beauty, Serbia. My mother and I maintained a garden and all the flower arrangements in the house, each season had it’s beauties. My hobbies are painting, sawing and printing, and my biggest passion are flower designs and expressions. I gained experience and education working for florist and event companies in the area for couple of years and fell in love with working on tying dreams, sentiments and spaces with flowers, into a perfect personal and intimate creation.

“Avery and her team were incredible to work with - her quote from the beginning was thorough, helped us budget and also included photos of the 'style' we were going for which was so helpful to confirm we were on the same page. Then she made it easy to tweak as we went along (adding flowers in different places and taking away in others). We had a very tight turn at our venue after another event and she was able to navigate that so well working with the other teams setting up the tables while the previous group was packing out. Her aesthetic is lovely, she is wonderful to work with and she helped create a lovely ceremony and reception for us. I couldn't recommend her more!”
