“DJ Steven and Stumptown were excellent! DJ Steven, while being a Tier 2 DJ, was more like a Tier 10! We really wanted a fun and populated dancefloor at our wedding and DJ Steven delivered! He was great at reading the crowd and playing songs that got everyone on their feet. He also surprised us by bringing a bubble gun, lights, and a 360 cam. What was most spectacular was that DJ Steven also created a special mix for our first dance so that we could do a fun choreographed dance to it. Our guests absolutely loved it, and we couldn’t be more thankful to Steven for making it happen. He helped us select songs for all phases of the wedding and was able to really set the mood throughout the entire event. We received numerous compliments from guests about how the wedding was so upbeat and had an awesome party atmosphere; DJ Steven was a large part of that! “We have used Craig w/Hi Fidelity for 2 weddings over the years - he is so much more than a typical DJ! He has a way of engaging with the audience that is amazing. He is able to get people involved and dancing that would typically just watch or leave at that point. I have been to many weddings over the years but have never been to any that are more FUN than the ones he’s DJ’d. He had the entirety of guests laughing and participating until the very end when the venue told us we had to wrap it up for the night. I had a guest write me a letter afterwards thanking me for having such a fun wedding reception; he is 70 yrs old and stated that this was the best wedding he’d ever been to in his entire life! Wow. “Mark was extremely easy to work with! He communicated quickly, and was clear with expectations/information he needed from us. We really appreciated all of the pieces he managed during the event. He was able to mic up our officiant, guide the guests during our surprise scavenger hunt cocktail hour, he ran a super amusing Shoe Game (see pictures) and kept the formal dance with our parents short and sweet! Our venue was outdoors and we moved across the property over the evening, he came early to setup, and stayed late to say goodbye to us. This business came about from a little over a decade of hard work by Theodore in the Theatre and A/V event industries. Years of exceptional team building and execution of large-scale events, as well as a longstanding background of being musically educated (brass, 12 years), performing, and teaching music, led us to finally formalize the business in this format. What started as a way to aid individuals with throwing events (with less than abundant resources) has slowly turned into recurrent events of all kinds.

“When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted the music to be epic! Music is so important to my now husband Ryan and me. We wanted a packed dance floor, but we also wanted to incorporate our Jewish culture and even play some of our psych-rock faves, plus the odd request from our parents. It was a tall request! Chad handled it like a champ and created a playlist that checked our boxes and got everyone on the dance floor! When working with Chad, it's apparent that he had an enormous knowledge of music and DJing, as well as the intricacies of events and hosting. He had so many great suggestions and understood what we wanted and more! He even incorporated our weird sense of humor into our playlist. For example, we mentioned in our wedding vows a joke about rickrolling, and he added Never Gonna Give You Up to our playlist! It was amazing! At the last minute, we found out that our venue would be less involved in the day of coordination than we had previously thought. We had recruited some cousins to help, but when we told Chad and his wife/superstar partner in crime, Gretchen, about it, Gretchen stepped up to the plate without missing a beat. She coordinated our processional and the entrance to our reception. It was amazing! It meant so much to us that Chad and Gretchen would go above and beyond to ensure our wedding was perfect. 11/10, we would hire them again. We have nothing but the best things to say about Chad and Gretchen. We know they'll do everything possible to make your event extraordinary and customized to your taste.”
