It was so awesome having Sarah and John both capture all of our special moments on the day of the wedding, from getting ready (BOTH me and my husband have a bunch of awesome getting ready photos!), our first look and portraits before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, cocktail hour, reception festivities, and incredibly artistic details shots. “We first chatted with Max over Facetime and based on his cool, confident personality, we knew he would be able to do an outstanding job with our Boston Desi-American fusion wedding. His style of photography and editing stood out from the scores of photographers we were picking from on IG. Max worked closely with me (the bride) to coordinate themes, vibes, outfits, and location for our engagement photoshoot. While we were a whole hour late to our shoot because of Boston traffic, he was extremely kind and accommodating, making the most out of the situation and still delivering amazing photos. When I received the photos from him, my husband and I were blown away – he did some stunning portraits of myself, as well as gorgeous shots of us as a couple. We then coordinated wedding details – we opted for a video and photo package. Max’s team was so professional and knew where to situate themselves throughout the day once I gave them my schedule for the day – from Bridal gowngetting readyjewlery details, First Look, Bridal party portraits, Family portraits, solos, ceremony shots, cocktail hour, all the way to reception and EVERYTHING in between. The day was full of surprises and delays (as are most wedding days with lots of family and moving parts) but Max and his team DID NOT MISS A BEAT. They managed my bridal groom party with ease, and rallied everyone necessary for all the requested photos. Do I need to mention the beautiful final shots? When my wife and I decided to get married, one of our biggest concerns as a T4T couple was finding a photographer who was someone that could make us both feel comfortable showing up as our authentic selves. I’ve known Brooke for over 10 years and have always known they were an amazing human being inside and out, so when I discovered that she was diving into wedding photography (this was back in 2019) I knew exactly who to go to. When it comes to our trans identities, unlike many wedding vendors who just treat that like some major issue or something they need to be like “stepping on glass” to deal with, Brooke handled our wedding with nothing but the uttermost respect, dignity, ease and kindness. In addition to being queer friendly, she also is just so amazing at making you feel good behind the camera. My wife and I are extremely awkward picture takers and I was so worried that’s what you would get from our photos. But that was NOT even remotely the case. We adored the outcome of our photos because we just look so naturally happy and in love. The photos still, even now, bring so much joy to my heart when I look at them. They will probably be my forever background photos on my phone so I can always see them for that reason. In a small and very non-traditional space, she found all the right angles with some VERY creative positioning while remaining completely hidden from all in attendance. Her natural and developed skill was obvious throughout the night. Her subsequent work on our beautiful photo album only cemented our complete and total satisfaction with her work on every level. We simply can't imagine a more positive overall experience. She is an artist and a professional in equal measures and would be a massive asset to an event of any size or type.”
