“Working with Villa was one of the best choices we made as part of wedding planning. During the initial planning, she was responsive, thoughtful, and considerate of our vision. She understands that most people have never planned a wedding before helped us not only plan photos, but reorganize our reception to flow better. My husband and I are very photo shy, enough so that we debated on whether or not to even hire a photographer for the wedding. Villa was so great at directing interesting, natural poses that didn't feel forced or awkward in the moment. We opt-ed not to do an engagement shoot, but if we had to do it all over again, we absolutely would with Villa. During day of, Villa was extremely detailed and organized. She arrived early to the venue to capture photos and understand the space overall. She was very good about taking photos in a way that didn't interrupt the flow of events while navigating a fairly large and irregularly shaped venue. We received a great blend of editorial and photo-journalistic images that really captured the day beautifully. She has a great eye for wide shots, close up details, and artistic framing. Our wedding day started on a sunny day at noon and ended in the evening. Villa shot great photos throughout all the lighting changes during the day including many flash photography and low light shots after the sun had set. I probably inquired with 10 photographers beforehand, but the moment I found Jenn, knew we'd choose her for her beautiful work. We loved our engagement photos, and she gave us (stunning) sneak peek wedding photos the day after our wedding! From her "detail" shots, teaching us how to pose (thanks!), scoping out the best spots for beautiful shots, creating a wedding day photography timeline for us - she was so professional, creative, and easy to communicate with. Also as a side note, she is an engineer and I don't know how she is blessed in equal measure with both left-brain precision and right-brain creativity. She also has some very cool options, like Super8 film, polaroids, etc. that we opted to add on - her work is timeless and beautiful and I can't recommend her highly enough.
