From the first moment my grandfather placed a Sony Cybershot in my hands at age 13, I knew the magic of capturing life's most profound and intimate moments was meant for me. Now, after nearly 24 years behind the lens, what began as a childhood hobby has become everything to me. My commitment to you as your photographer is to apply my skill, creative mind, and decades of experience to your occasion so you have fantastic, tangible memories to look back on years from now. I have a long history as a photographer, starting in my twenties with large format view cameras, publishing a book of black and white portraits of Newfoundlanders, studying under Ansel Adams at his Yosemite workshops, and with Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now, my cameras and equipment are all the latest digital models, but I still rely on my experience and a well trained eye for capturing the optimal moment.

I'm Alyssa, a Boston based wedding photographer who shoots all over Maine, Rhode Island, The Hudson Valley and New York City. I’ve been working as a photographer for over 10 years and have had the fun of photographing such varied assignments as New Years Eve on a Manhattan hotel rooftop, to a James Bond Villains themed 70th birthday party at a private estate, to food and beverage at restaurants all over Boston and New York City. I’ve loved all of it but I’ve especially adored the weddings I’ve gotten to document. I truly feel it’s a special honor to be hired by a couple and trusted to document their wedding day.

What we continue to bond over: visiting as many countries as possible, making and consuming craft beer, sending real mail, reading the newspaper, meeting new people, and training/walking/cuddling our maniacal dog, Gatsby. After our San Diego courthouse-by-the-sea elopement, we settled in Brooklyn and turned our passion for photography into a business.
