We began our journey in 2015 with a dusty gravel pit and vision for a new home. The gem was the stunning 30 acre crystal clear lake. After purchasing the property we found ourselves hosting church activities and work functions as people truly loved being here. Slowly, we began adding amenities to the property. In 2020 one of our daughters got engaged. As she began looking for a venue to host her wedding we came to realize that the perfect spot was right in front of us. We wanted it to be a very special place and we went to work to create a beautiful wedding venue. There are many opportunities on the property for one of a kind pictures. There are two picturesque options in front of the lake for the service and a new reception building that can seat up to 200 guests. With a 5 acre campus larger weddings can be accommodated with tent rental.

This 22-acre property is a hidden gem near Toledo and the shores of Lake Erie. Encompassed by enchanting woods, fields, and a spring-fed century-old stone quarry, it offers a one-of-a-kind setting for weddings. It is run by a husband and wife who want your big day to be every bit as special as their own. They are the third generation of caretakers and take pride in preserving the natural beauty of the area. The quarry, as their family affectionately calls it, is the property's crown jewel. You can choose from three stunning sites for your ceremony, The Glade, The Orchard, or Under The Oak. Then, you can join over 300 guests for a reception. This setup will allow you to soak up the landscape while celebrating with your loved ones. The base package includes tables, chairs, a tent as well as setup and teardown. Use of the grounds for your rehearsal and engagement photos are subject to availability. Outside vendors are welcome for catering and any additional services you may need.

Bloom & Bower is located on a private 6 acre country estate in Risingsun, Ohio, conveniently located near Toledo, Bowling Green, and Findlay, Ohio. We offer outdoor ceremonies on our Ceremony Lawn/ Gazebo area, or in our Secret Garden. Guests will enjoy exploring the grounds, sipping a drink by the pond, or playing yard games! Couples spend their wedding night in our onsite Barn B&B, and will enjoy an stress-free wedding day! We offer staffing to handle set-up, tear-down, day-of coordination services, and access to our ample decor supply. Our Reception Barn and covered awning space can accommodate up to 200 guests. Our venue is a lounge/club located on South U near the campus perfect for after wedding parties and celebrations! We have a lighting system, a DJ booth, and the ability to do karaoke. With a full bar located in the room, 2 restrooms as well we also have a full kitchen with very limited food options.

Our second floor space has the capacity for dinners, parties, after party receptions, wedding rehearsal dinners, and private events for up to 40 people. It’s been our pleasure to host graduations, retirements, and birthday parties in our private dining space, and to give these celebrations the atmosphere and attention they deserve. We have also been host to many University of Michigan department functions and have menus that are geared towards fitting the UM guidelines to make the planning process hitch-free.

For your special day, plan a wedding made by nature. Set your wedding outdoors in one of our formal gardens or spaces, or indoors amid the lush tropical setting of the Conservatory. We offer seven distinct spaces, including a fragrant Herb Knot Garden, colorful Perennial Garden, the serene and intimate Willow Pond Island, or the summer-blooming Gateway Garden. All outdoor weddings include an indoor backup space in case of inclement weather.

Renowned “movie palace” architect C. Howard Crane designed Detroit’s historic Garden Theater, a commission he earned after he opened his own firm in Detroit in 1908.
