I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

My earliest memories are always centered around picking flowers in my mothers gardens. I would grab one of the glass bottles she collected and play around with any flowers I could find. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

Helianthus and Lace is a wedding and event floral design business serving the deeply in love. Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun. I find this to be a great analogy for life - always look on the bright side. Flowers have been a part of my life since 2014, and I have been flowering weddings since 2018. I'm so glad you are here!

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.

I started my journey to floral design with a love for all things beautiful. For the past 14 years, I have had the honor of helping couples to achieve their dream Weddings. With each handpicked bloom, we help to build your one-of-a-kind love story. Meet Nichole Klunk, the owner and lead floral designer at Pretty Posies by Nichole. My husband Ashley and I have been married for 16 years. Our two wild and full of energy sons keep us busy! Family is everything to us! I have always been a flower lover... Even as a child I would harvest all my grandmothers blooming flowers. Then make bouquets with them for my family. So it was no surprise in 2009 when I volunteered to arrange my cousins wedding flowers and fell in love! After that I was hooked and knew I wanted to pursue this as my career. So I complete a floral design course with Ashworth College in 2009 with honors.

Tara has been a long time flower lover and plant geek. Growing up she was a rambunctious toddler and decided to get a head start in the horticulture industry by eating her mothers house plants. This mostly resulted in the poison control center being called repeatedly, but also instilled in her the love of all things "green and growing". She has had her hands in the dirt and been playing with flowers her whole life. With an art background in her family, florals became her artistic expression.

Growing up in Lancaster, PA means growing up with the best soil in the world. From an early age, I've found my way into the garden: planting, deadheading spent blooms, creating arrangements out of any flower or green. Local artist/entrepreneur Rachel Stevenson has made wedding and event floral design her life's passion. She has been a floral designer since 2004, first at a floral shop in Lancaster County and then branching out on her own business venture in 2008 doing exclusive wedding designs from her floral studio in Myerstown. She has received training not only from her former floral position but also advanced training specifically in wedding design from instructors at the Longwood Gardens Design School.

I am a farmer’s wife, momma to four, two in-laws, and "mamaw" to three little ones. I have a love for all things pretty especially flowers! Lavender and Locks is a floral design studio and flower farm. We offer a wide range of floral designs and locally, sustainably grown flowers in season. The flower farm is located in Elizabethtown, PA with additional acreage in Mifflintown, PA. In addition to custom floral designs, we supply flowers for the DIY person or bride. We grow a wide range of seasonal flowers, greenery and woody stems for various events. We love to forage around the farms to find that unique branch to include in our designs. We also are providing dried flowers and branches to enjoy in winter months.

Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
