Ladies and gentlemen, if you are the person in your couple that is taking on the wedding planning, and contemplating this venue, look no further and book as soon as you can! I am a very meticulous and detail oriented person that brought in a ton of decor and the dream team here at Wedgewood placed it flawlessly. On the day of the wedding I did not receive one single call or email from the team and when I arrived at the venue, I was astonished at how beautiful everything looked. The wedding itself went off without a hitch. Our guests were so impressed by the food, cake, venue and the overall flow of the wedding. Alycia was our day of coordinator and she absolutely killed! She was a literal wedding angel. For reference, we went with the elite package and we extended our venue time until 11 PM. They were a dream to work with!

This review is long overdue. The staff was really amazing in coordinating our perfect wedding right from the beginning. We were planning our big day from out of state, which you would think would cause a few hiccups but the staff at J Winston Winery made everything very easy. Taylor Kinsey, Operations manager, was always quick to respond, provided great recommendations, had tremendous patience and was very professional throughout the entire process. They offered a package to buy out the winery at a very reasonable price so we didn’t have to worry about uninvited guests or rush any last minute details. The wine packages were just as reasonable; the only tough decision here was deciding which ones to serve. The newly built barn, where we hosted our reception was beautifully done. It had all the right touches with very little need for additional decorations. The day before the wedding we were able to setup/prep anything we needed to and of course enjoyed some of their amazing wine. We were really appreciative of them working closely with our multiple vendors prior to wedding day and getting them all set up on our special day. We can’t thank them enough for making our special day truly magical. We still visit the winery when we’re in town and to this day continue to thank them for the great job they did and reminiscence on the fun we had. Thank you John and the J Winston Winery team for being there for us especially Taylor and Leyla!

Venue considerations

  • Dance floor not included
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • On-site parking not available
I got married at Guglielmo Winery in Sept 2024 and had an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience. I am so happy with our choice of this venue. Starting with the initial tour of the venue, the Event Director, Brianna, was incredibly sincere, friendly, and knowledgeable. We met with her a few times over the course of our wedding planning process, and she was so communicative and on top of things throughout the whole process. After planning a wedding, the best advice I can give to an engaged couple is to find vendors who are good communicators. There are vendors who will be slow to respond or not respond at all in the wedding planning process without multiple reminder emails, and it can add so much unneeded stress. From setting up the initial tour of the venue to our check-in meeting to our ceremony rehearsal two days before the event, I can’t say enough about how good Brianna was with her communication with us. Convenience for guests was an important factor for us, and the venue is easily accessible from the freeway and has easy parking across the street in a large high school parking lot. No winding roads or lost guests! And it has the ceremony area, cocktail hour, reception, and dance floor all in close proximity to one another. The lighting at night is absolutely beautiful with the string lights under a large canopy tent. And it felt so spacious and comfortable for our 160-person wedding. There are pricing packages to fit any number of guests, whether it be for a small intimate wedding for 50 guests or a large 300-person wedding. If you’re looking for an outdoor wedding venue, Guglielmo Winery is the place for you!

Arrillaga Family Recreation Center

5.0

Menlo Park, CA

When guests arrive at the redwood-and-glass building, they often gather in its open, airy lobby. Then, if you’re having your ceremony here (and most couples do), your family and friends will be ushered through Craftsman-styled double wooden doors to the serene South Patio. This beautiful, crescent-shaped flagstone space wraps around one entire side of the building and features a Zen-like border of Japanese maples, native plants and graceful oaks. Handcrafted ceramic urns are integrated throughout and serve as artful and calming water features. You can opt to exchange vows in front of those wooden entry doors, or take full advantage of the patio’s pièce de résistance and say “I do” beneath an asymmetrical canvas canopy. There’s ample room for al fresco cocktails on the patio before everyone moves into the Sequoia Room for dinner. This reception area feels quite spacious, with its cathedral ceiling, polished hardwood floors, and two walls of glass

Why you'll love this venue

  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor
  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Does not have a dance floor
  • Additional event staff required
  • No on-site guest accommodations
Our wedding was held here. The venue had so much to recommend it and was perfect for the ceremony and cocktail hour in the the large patio areas, and dinner and dancing in the Sequoia Room. We had 100 guests, easily accommodated for a seated dinner leaving a roomy dance floor. The great convenience of having on-site ample parking, and easy accessibility was appreciated by our guests. The facility is well designed, modern, and all on one level. There are also some lovely spots for wedding photos taking advantage of the landscaping around the center. Another huge plus was the ability to use the caterer of our choice (Kitchenina) and other vendors. Working with the venue representative, Dashawn W., was a pleasure; she was so efficient, responsive, and helpful, from the day we first toured Arrillaga throughout the whole planning process. The Arrillaga Family Recreation Center was perfect for the wedding - a great venue for a wonderful day!

The Holly Farm

5.0

Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $57,000

This is a special place. The moment you walk through the welcoming rustic gate and past a quintessential redwood barn, you enter a quiet, peaceful world of bird-song, the splash of water falling, tropical plantings of every conceivable varietal, winding paths, and cottages tucked away among exotic palms, banana, and ancient cypress trees. Abundant oak trees and giant prickly-pear cacti stand sentinel. Wooden benches and comfortably-cushioned, bent willow chairs in secluded, shady oases offer places to sit, to rest and to absorb the quiet. This spectacular private estate is a sanctuary, nestled along the Santa Lucia Mountain Range. Family-owned and operated, this expansive Carmel jungle hideaway was created exclusively for destination weddings or for those looking for a relaxing, retreat-style experience. Your closest family and friends gather to spend 2-5 nights together at your own private oasis, a hidden Shangri-la- your home base for days of celebration of love. All are welcome.

My husband and I got married at Holly Farm in June 2024. We found the venue in October which gave us about 9 months to plan our wedding. Holly Farm made it relatively simple to piece together all the vendors due to their incredible and long lasting relationships. And while wedding planning is still stressful, what I didn't expect and was so very grateful for was feeling like I could hand everything over to them upon arrival for the wedding weekend and really feel like everything was in good hands (I did not have a wedding planner). I knew the venue was going to be beautiful but I did not expect to feel so at ease the entire weekend. I had the BEST time at my own wedding because the Holly Farm staff went above and beyond to take care of everything we could possibly need on our behalf. There was nothing they couldn't assist with. It was the most perfect weekend, and I could not recommend this venue more!

I would recommend Blue Agave to anyone looking to host an event as the private back patio is great for large groups. We had around 85 people and decided to use the backyard as an informal cocktail space with shared appetizers and then moved to the front patio to have dinner. The evening was magical and we felt so much love and effort go into our event, we couldn't be happier with having it at Blue Agave!

The rest - from décor to caterers - is up to you, which makes the Highlands House an extraordinarily customizable venue. The Highlands House can host up to 200 people in the peak season (April – October) and 100 during the winter season (November – March). This includes your guests, vendors, and anyone else helping you on your big day.
