Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering was founded by husband and wife team, Padraic and Kaylyn Keane. Padraic grew up working in his parents’ village pub in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015 where he became fascinated with traditional southern barbecue. Padraic welded his first wood-fired smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence and Keane’s held their first catered event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown in 2016. Since then Keane’s has continued to build a reputation for exceptional food and service.

“I don't even know where to begin - our wedding wouldn't have been the AMAZING event it was without Keane's! We will be forever grateful for their hard-working staff, delicious food/bar services, and of course KYM! Kym was my main point of contact from the beginning of my wedding planning - every single thought/question I threw her way, she had a helpful answer that was prompt and kind. We ended up having Kym add on service as a day of coordinator - and my family is still talking about how much of a rockstar she was. All of my guests that I interacted with that day, and now after, have commented on how lovely all of the catering staff was, and how truly great the food was. I am dreaming about the brisket meatballs, bluefish crostini and mac and cheese. I also had a guest who told me the bar staff made the best margarita they have ever had! We seriously cannot thank this team enough, and I just hope that I am lucky enough to go to another event that they are a part of. I wish I had photos to share of the amazing food, but just know that you will not be disappointed! THANK YOU!!!”

The lead crew member on site as our wedding, Julie, was incredible, scanning the crowd for me to bring by husband and I snacks directly amidst formal photos and mingling. The tasting was well thought out and professional. The menu selections are vast and customizable to your needs, while also being reasonably priced. The option to have our menu cooked to order on charcoal grills right beside our tent in live-action was superior; there were no soggy reheated trays of food, the meat timings were perfect, no limitations due to not having cooking equipment as with some catering. Our guests are still raving over the food, and I think about placing a smaller-scale order at least once a month! Many couples say they didn't get to eat their dinner as they were too busy - we MADE SURE we ate our whole plates full. Just thinking back on our prime rib, mac and cheese, bacon-wrapped scallops - I'm starving for more! “About 5-6 months before our wedding, our original caterer re-quoted our pricing that I had signed over a year ago and it had increased by almost 15k! I was so distraught and stressed, as you can imagine. Luckily I found Soraya through a Facebook wedding group after I had asked for a second opinion. SHE SAVED MY WEDDING DAY. My husband and I are Cambodian and Chinese and trying to find any upscale asian caterer in the NorthShore was darn near impossible. I had my heart set on an upscale multi-course asian banquet menu. We ended up with 10 courses! Soraya made it happen and all the food was made on site at our venue in Peabody (the Olio). Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was! To think I almost went with drop catering as I thought that was my only option. Thank goodness I found Soraya! As anyone who has ever thrown a big event knows, the food will make or break an event. And Soraya's food MADE our wedding a huge success. Soraya made sure fried foods were crispy, hot foods were HOT, and each table service was flawlessly delivered. Even our foodie families were happy with the food and were so surprised at how authentic everything tasted. We had menu items that were Chinese and Cambodian. I would hire Soraya and her team again, and again, and again. She kept me at ease and made sure everything was flawlessly executed. THANK YOU again for everything Soraya. Working together came naturally and quickly took off. Our most popular areas are Cape Cod, Boston, Newport/Middletown, & Narragansett. We service all of RI, the MA coast, and down to Mystic, CT. We typically travel within 80 miles of 02748 but do go further for some events. We're happy to accommodate if we can!
