I've been working in the beauty industry over 21 years. My career began after earning a cosmetology license, at the age of 19. This is when I began working for prestigious cosmetic companies such as Chanel, Estee Lauder, and MAC. I received training from leading people in the makeup industry, along with assisting and working along side celebrity makeup artists. Roles I've held during my career include working as a freelance makeup artist, cosmetic retail manager, cosmetic business manager, and makeup trainer.

My love for makeup started young, inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, iconic female muses from art, film, and the bold beauty of music videos. I wanted to feel beautiful and empowered, and that passion grew into a career where I now help others feel the same. After 21 years in San Francisco, Portland, and Denver, I’ve made my home on the gorgeous Central Coast in San Luis Obispo. As a self-taught makeup artist and licensed esthetician, I’m excited to be part of this amazing beauty and wedding community, helping my brides and clients feel like the best version of themselves for their special day

My name is Hazel Skye and I am a certified Pro Makeup Artist through Makeup Forever Academy New York and Glam Lab Studios. I'm based in Knoxville, TN & San Francisco Bay Area (I split my time between California and Tennessee) and always open to travel. I specialize in color correction, flawless skin, soft bridal, sculpted bridal, bold bridal and tattoo cover up. My favorite type of looks are modern, timeless and chic. I have a team in Nor Cal and East Tennessee.

I have been in the industry for 6+ years, specializing in Weddings and Special Events. Along with working at another job full-time, I was able to prioritize and worked on 60+ weddings every year. I moved around a bit until I found a salon that I was happy with. I worked in Malibu, where I had a good high end clientele. But I lived for the weddings and prom days. So Fairytale was born. I made a website, got a booth at a bridal show, and the response was overwhelming. Then I decided I needed to find other artists with the same passion and talent to work with. Thats when I started Fairytale Hair and Makeup!
