Hi, I'm Addey! I started Collette Blooms about a year ago after my husband and I moved to the area. I have always loved flowers and beautifying spaces but never considered doing it for work until after college when my very talented friend started mentoring me and I started helping her with weddings. I gained so much experience and confidence in working with her that I started my own business and have loved every second. I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it.
