They worked with us through phone calls, email and a tasting night to create a bar menu that let our tastes and interests shine through. The menu also brought their considerable experience and love every step of the way using top notch ingredients including homemade lavender simple syrup, in house dried citrus garnishes, luxardo cherries and environmentally considerate serving ware. We had a group chat going the week of the wedding that helped us feel excited and cared for on our day. There were a lot of last minute headaches that we had to sort through and these ladies were joy and sanity in a head spinning time. Weeks after, many guests are still raving about how sweet they both were and what awesome drinks they made. They truly helped make our wedding day the best it could be.”

“When we first started planning our wedding, the only thing we knew for sure was that we wanted food everyone would talk about. Another priority was having vegetarian options that went beyond just pasta or cauliflower steaks. Chef Angelo, and the whole team at Modern Fusion, completely blew our expectations away. From the moment we first reached out, he was responsive, collaborative, and patient in answering all the questions we threw at him. When it came time to plan our menu, he worked with us to adjust their dishes to suit our (somewhat picky) tastes. “Can this be made vegetarian?” “Can you make sure there are no nuts in anything?” “Can this dish be made a little less spicy?” Whatever we needed, Angelo assured us they could make it happen. We also threw out an idea that more or less combined two dishes. He was not only eager to accommodate our request, he seemed just as excited at the idea of the dish as we were. These early interactions went a long way in putting us at ease throughout the planning process. Then we had our tasting. Every single thing we had was so good that we were worried we were going to be disappointed come the wedding day. We thought, “There’s no way they’re going to be able to make everything *that* good for 100 people!” We were so very, very wrong. Did the first guest we saw at cocktail hour say, “Congratulations!” or “Let’s take a picture?” No, I’m pretty sure they said “This food is so good, I’m already on my third empanada.” Which was exactly what we wanted to hear. And we continued to hear comments like that all night long. From the moment we reached out straight through to the end of the reception, Chef Angelo and his staff went above and beyond in every way imaginable. The day could not have gone better and we owe so much of that to them. Now I’m just trying to think up other occasions we could have catered so I can eat more of their incredible food.”

All the food was served hot, and on the bamboo plates I requested. We even had plenty of leftovers to eat with friends for several days after the event. We committed just because of their communication and the way they made things others in the area didnt. We just had a great feeling about them. So, we booked them. We did try their food at a tasting event and holy smokes! It was the best BBQ I had since I was in Tennessee. Then talking with them, they could not be more delightful. We knew we had lightning in a bottle. We even HAD to get the peach cobbler at the wedding... Fast forward to the wedding, they were prompt, and an absolute delight to have. “We had a small micro wedding with farmerxbaker in August of 2022. Venue, Food, Cake, Bouquets, Flower Arrangements. Where Do I even start. Absolutely amazing in every way. Jen with farmerxbaker was so easy to work with and went along with all of my ideas and added her own flair to them as well. The food was out of this work (5 Stars for the jalapeno bacon jam!), the cake was delicious, the property was perfect, and the flowers were gorgeous. A million thank yous to famerxbaker and staff- who went out their way on the day of to make sure everything was perfect & all the details were covered, it was everything we wanted and more. Everyone in attendance was blown away!”
