Long Hill is a property of The Trustees of Reservations, a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. From 1916 to 1979, Long Hill was the summer home of noted author and editor of The Atlantic Monthly, Ellery Sedgwick. He summered here with his first wife, Mabel Cabot Sedgwick, an accomplished horticulturist, gardener, and author of The Garden Month by Month, and his second wife, Marjorie Russell Sedgwick, a rare plants specialist—both of whom created a delightful, enchanting landscape, surrounded by more than 100 acres of woodland. Today, visitors delight in the beauty of Long Hill’s structured and naturalistic gardens as well as a network of woodland trails. A diverse collection of trees, shrubs, and distinctive perennial plants provide color during the growing season, peaking in May and June and providing structure and beauty throughout the year.

This Victorian treasure was built in the late 1880s, and originally served as the county courthouse. It’s been lovingly restored, and boasts a two-story theater space with an exquisitely embellished ceiling and wraparound mezzanine balcony. In the warmer months, ceremonies may be held in Centanni Courtyard. This airy outdoor space continues the historic feel of the Arts Center with lawns, a large arbor, and brick pathways. It was originally built as a stucco home, in what was an area of parceled farms. Over time, the house was expanded and was eventually converted into a stone estate. The house fell into disrepair and in 1994, came into our guardianship. We have been working ever since to return it to its former glory. Stonehouse, with its arched windows, and open porches, would serve as a picturesque backdrop for any function. We have a luxurious indoor space that accommodates 70 guests. For weddings exceeding 70 guests your even takes place in a pristine Century Pole tent. *Stonehouse On The Hill requires you book one of our approved caterers for food and beverages for your event.*

This beautiful building was built in the late 1800s as a railroad station to support the loading, unloading, and storage of freight. In 1990, it was restored to become a function hall that can easily accommodate 120 of your closest family and friends. The leather belt-driven ceiling fans, wooden phone booth, beadboard ceilings and walls, vintage baggage cart, and authentic gas-fired, pot-bellied stoves add to the charming atmosphere of this function hall. Our hall is the perfect setting for weddings & receptions. There is also the option to add our Out-of-Town Guest Suite for overnight stays. This one bedroom quarters is a one minute drive and a short walk to the venue hall.

Spanning over 200 acres Southwick's Zoo is New England's largest zoological experience.
