Although our wedding hasn’t happened yet, we couldn’t wait to share how thrilled we’ve been with our experience so far with The Headquarters! From the very beginning, the team has been phenomenal, Taylor and Janae’s professionalism and communication has made the entire process smooth and stress-free thus far. A special shoutout to Taylor, who played a huge role in helping us feel confident about booking a venue still under renovation. Her years of experience with Wedgewood and new venue openings reassured us that their blueprints and mock-ups are always spot-on with the final product—and it’s easy to see that this space is going to be stunning. We were specifically looking for a venue that felt unique and special, something fresh that none of our friends or family had used before. Choosing The Headquarters was a leap of faith, but the team’s attention to detail and their ability to keep us in the loop has us beyond excited for our big day. We had the absolute best experience with this venue on our wedding on June 22. From start to finish, everything was so organized and seamless. The team answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly throughout the planning process, which really helped ease any stress. Everything was laid out and organized. You can tell they have good systems in place to ensure smooth planning. On the day of the wedding, Lauren (our coordinator) was an absolute angel. She was calm, collected, and brought such a positive, grounding energy that made a huge difference for me when I was feeling overwhelmed. She handled so many behind the scenes details that I didn’t even have to think about, and her communication throughout the process was amazing. Sierra, our banquet captain, was also incredible! She made sure the groom and I always had a drink in hand, checked in on us regularly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying every moment. And Isaac, our DJ did such a great job at accommodating our music style and requests. You can tell the whole team loves what they do. The venue itself is stunning. It's clean, beautifully maintained, and perfectly set up so that the ceremony and reception are close together. It made everything so convenient for our guests, who all raved about how beautiful the space was. We also got tons of compliments on the food from our buffet, it was delicious and a huge hit. If you’re considering this venue, I highly recommend it. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better team to help us bring our wedding day to life.

The Carlsbad Windmill is a beautiful venue and I loved having it as an all in one package. It made wedding planning so easy while still being customizable in many ways. We had an amazing day and everything went smoothly. As a bride, I did not have to worry about much. My only caution is that they can change the food options at their discretion so the food that is there when you book with them may have slight changes when you get to closer to your actual wedding date. This was not a big deal for us but they did change the filet mignon option to a sirloin. Other than that, every one we worked with there are kind and helpful. They are quick to answer any questions you have throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to plan a wedding in the area. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all on the same property/building which makes a very easy transition for the guests from place to place. Many beautiful options for photos on site as well along with the beach and flower fields close by.

Oakwood Creek Celebrations

5.0

Julian, CA
  • Up to 100 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $6,200

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Growing up in rural Ohio, Sherry brings the style of country that is reminiscent of simpler gracious time, learning from her grandmother Emma Barrett of all things romantically beautiful. Sherry’s work has been featured in Country Living Magazine, Where Women Create, and San Diego Magazine.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Pets can join the celebration
  • Creates a sense of togetherness
  • Surrounded by nature

Oakwood Creek made our wedding dreams come true...if you are looking for a rustic, charming, cozy, and intimate venue, look no further - you have found it in Oakwood Creek. As a couple that paid for our wedding ourselves, finding the perfect venue, location, setting all within budget started out challenging. But after one tour at Oakwood Creek, we knew right away we found our venue. (It actually was our first and only tour, that's how certain we were.) We had 35 guests (planned for 40) and it was the perfect size. My husband and I only wanted our closest friends and family so this venue was perfect for us. We were able to get plate rentals through the venue and coordinated all of our vendors through Oakwood Creek. The entire team at Oakwood Creek is amazing. I definitely had a few moments of tears before the wedding after 100% rain was forecasted on my wedding day but the team pivoted everything indoors for the reception and we were able to do the ceremony outside. They all kept me grounded and answered every single one of my questions (there were MANY) lol! If you are looking for not just a stunning venue but also a wonderful and kind team that will make the best day of your life even more memorable, definitely schedule a tour at Oakwood Creek and book your wedding day now!

Milagro Winery

5.0

Ramona, CA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Whether you are hosting an intimate wedding or a grand event for two hundred guests, Milagro is the perfect outdoor venue in San Diego. Set amidst the rolling landscape of the Ramona Valley, Milagro provides an intimate and naturally beautiful outdoor setting for your wedding or private event. With exclusive and unique spaces, such as a granite Wine Cave, Old Crush House, and private stone patio, plus sweeping views of magnificent vineyards and meadows, Milagro provides a spectacular backdrop for your special event!

We got married at Milagro back in 2017 after I stumbled across their photo on Pinterest. Originally when I saw the picture of the beautiful Villa like structure I thought it couldn’t be in California and when I saw that it was and was only an hour or so from us I knew I wanted our wedding there. It gets even better, this amazing place is a winery! Double score! We schedule a walk through and wine tasting and booked the venue maybe 30 minutes after we were done. Melissa was our event coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. She was so responsive and helpful that it was such a breeze when it came time to the big day! If you want to get married at a beautiful winery with delicious wine, Milagro is your venue! I can’t wait to go back and visit the tasting room soon!
