A little bit about me so you feel like you're connecting with a real person- I'm Emily. I grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and so I love animals and nature. I love thrift stores, tropical plants, and horses. I live with a little tribe of wildmen- my husband, my two year old, and our cat who is probably part lion. I have a counseling degree and that has really formed me as a photographer. My film guy is my husband Zach, and we met in a library. He knows five different ways to brew coffee and can play six different instruments.

During the very limited time that I'm not being a photog, you can find me picking out my next plant baby, redecorating our home, or planning my next travel adventure. I get pretty excited and love making friends with couples being a helpful, friendly presence on the wedding day. I attempt to remain minimalist without tons of gear, partly because I'm running by myself, also because I don't like the clutter. It's not necessary for a great film!

As the owner of STRATA, I have the privilege of capturing love in motion for couples just like you, and I get to call it my job! Even though I had been creating video content since 2006, I accidentally fell into this wedding cinema videography career path in 2013 by filming my cousin's wedding as a favor. I posted it to Facebook for them and the rest is history! Now, I travel all across Pennsylvania and the East Coast with some of my best PA wedding videographer friends capturing the amazing love stories of adventurous-at-heart couples.

Growing up in Lancaster, PA means growing up with the best soil in the world. From an early age, I've found my way into the garden: planting, deadheading spent blooms, creating arrangements out of any flower or green.
