“From the first email inquiring about her services, I knew Calea was going to be wonderful to work with! She had a very quick response time and worked with me to figure out the best package for our special day. Leading up to the wedding, Calea was readily available to answer any questions I had and even helped me with a timeline for the day. On the day of our wedding, Calea drove to a neighboring county from our venue for us to be able to get some first look and family photos done before the ceremony. I was worried about what types of poses we'd do but this worry quickly went away as Calea makes you feel completely comfortable and fully guided us through all the photos, making it an enjoyable experience rather than a stressful or uncomfortable one. She captured every single detail beautifully. “As two VERY busy people who get camera shy, my husband (eeek! Crazy I get to call him that!!) and I do not have many photos together that are worthy of framing, or even posting on socials for that matter. So going into this experience, I knew we needed someone that could make us feel comfy, capture who we actually are as a couple, and be able to organize all the behind the scenes aspects of our sessions. In walks Mia. Mia took care of quite literally every aspect of our sessions. We did an engagement and elopement session at Mt Ranier in November. She drove up several days BEFORE our scheduled shoot to scope out the area, take notes on open paths, gauge the sunrise and sunsets, prepare for the weather changes, etc etc. Literally all the things that we would never have thought of, she did. We had a Pinterest board of outfits and inspo, a packing list of items we most def did need, phone calls to get to know each other, a centralized location for anything related to our sessions, and most importantly: peace of mind. I cannot rant and rave about how flawless the process was leading up to our sessions with Mia. Then the day of, we could not have asked for a more intimate and perfect day. Mia was so sweet, boosting us as a couple but also stopping to fix my hair or helping us to get those perfect swoon-worthy shots with poses we wouldn't have thought to do. However, it truly felt like we were in our own little world and Mia was just a fly on the wall. I feel like the pictures truly encompass how we are as a couple, which is so rare and beautiful of a thing to capture. Just go to her website, all of her work speaks for itself. Lucia is professional, fast to respond to emails and texts, helpful with decisions, accommodating to any requests, concerns, and excited to give advice. Duncan and I really wanted our photographer to capture our true emotion and to get candids of us, and Lucia DID THAT! The day felt blissful and a key point for us was that we got to enjoy the day without it feeling solely like a photoshoot which I think speaks to Lucias talent and confidence in her craft. She was good at giving guiding advice for posing without us feeling posed. I put together a Pinterest board and shot list which she really did a great job pulling inspiration from. “We are extremely thankful for Erin! She came in as though we have been great friends for many years. She introduced herself and went right to work. She referred to the list we discussed of photos we wanted and added numerous additional suggestions that helped us to get some amazing wedding day photos. My husband is not one to show a lot of emotion on camera, but Erin ensured that we did actions that he was not focused on the camera, but just enjoying the moments which allowed us to catch some very beautiful and memorable wedding day photos. She took many different positions, areas, and lighting to ensure we were getting the best options despite the weather not cooperating on the day. It's important to note that right before our wedding is when WNC was seriously affected by flooding and catastrophic damages. Even though Erin lives in an area that was heavily affected, she maintained communication, and while we were worried about her safety, she reassured us she'd still be available for our wedding. If that doesn't say professionalism, I don't know what else to say! She was very kind and thoughtful, and her calming and positive energy helped keep my anxiety at bay on what could have been an an incredibly stressful day. When it came time to preview the photos, Erin and I communicated about style options, and Erin showed available options to ensure the photos were everything I could hope for. Overall, we couldn't have been any happier with Erin and her photography. She is amazing and professional and did a wonderful job. And the photos were more than we ever could have hoped for. If you are looking for a photographer for your special day, there is no doubt in my mind that Erin will exceed every need, want, and hope you could possibly have.”
