Five years ago I was protecting my city as a police officer, and although playing cops and robbers is fun, I knew that something was missing. Hi. We are Geoff and Cindy, a husband and wife team of award winning photographers with a sense of humor and a kind heart. We are not your typical hobbyist turned pro. We both went to college for photography, both worked in a local camera store in sales and print lab, and trained while working for other well known photographers in the area. We're old enough (gulp) to live through the transition from film to digital, so we are well versed in proper exposure and lighting (we had to be before digital!).

My most important advice to couples is be willing to take the TIME for the creative process. Although photography is one of the costs of the engagement and wedding experience, there is one aspect of photography that makes a huge difference. It’s not money, it’s TIME. It’s the willingness of the bride and groom to take the time to let the photographer creatively experiment in the present moment with all of the elements around them. Light, shapes, angles, color, emotion, all of these and many more are part of the creative process in the photographer’s mind.

You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!
