The Stone Mill 1792 was a great place to work at as a wedding photographer. They communicate primarily via email, which was convenient and efficient for us. The quality of their work and value is perfect for vintage lovers, with an audience that are okay with walking through grass and some stairs. They were extremely organized and ready to help with anything we needed. The owners were very kind, personable and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We highly recommend The Stone Mill 1792 to any couple planning their wedding.

The Fishing Creek supports native trout and other rare small fishes. The waterfall is adjacent to the buildings. There is a hiking trail within the property. There is wetland and much more. Drumore Mill was an absolutely stunning venue to use for our special day (really weekend). We loved the ease of booking the venue, touring with Thuy, and the promptness and flexibility they offer. An added bonus is the available on site lodging for rental, which we made great use of for our close friends, family, and wedding party to stay in the night before and night of the wedding. We enjoyed the Great Room in the Grist Mill for our rehearsal dinner. Our guests loved how spacious Drumore Mill was, and we appreciated all the attention to detail such as included (but still optional) decor and greenery, and the setup of chairs and other items for the ceremony space. Being able to bring in all of our own vendors at no additional cost was fantastic. The value for renting the property from Thursday to Saturday morning was unmatched and completely worth it. We would recommend Drumore Mill to anyone, and we look forward to booking the property in the future for non-wedding related stays with friends and family.

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • No in-house catering options
Everything about our wedding at the Pump House was absolutely perfect. We found the Pump House after our original venue was affected by the the hurricane in Asheville, NC. We were rushing to find something that was available on our date, and hit on our non-negotiables: we wanted something where we could spend the day out in nature, have friends and family stay on the property with us, and have a relaxing day all in one location, with a beautiful ceremony site and reception room. As soon as we toured the venue, we knew we didn’t have to look anywhere else. One of the biggest things that sold us on the Pump House was how much the owners, Doug and Lisa, care about their land, the venue, and the weddings that were hosted there. Every space is decorated with Doug’s artwork, from paintings to the tiles in all the bathrooms, which is such a charming touch. They can tell you all about the history of the property and the different types of trees you’ll see as you explore the hiking trails. They’ll even tell you stories of past weddings and couples who have been through their doors as well. Throughout our tour and the whole planning process, we never felt like we were just another wedding or that they were just checking the boxes. On our wedding day, we woke up in our gorgeous accommodations to the relaxing sounds of birds and the river. We got to sit and have an incredible breakfast with our friends and family before getting ready (the breakfast. Omg. I’d book this venue for the breakfast itself). A group went for a hike and a dip in the river that morning too. I felt like we were surrounded by the most positive, magical energy all day as we took our photos in the forrest. We ended up moving our ceremony into the Brick Barn due to rain (fortunately that’s the only time throughout the day it rained, so our guests got to hang outside during the reception), but we ended up having the most intimate, beautiful ceremony in there, that we couldn’t even imagine doing differently now. Plus, the cats and chickens on the property were a big hit with us and the guests :) We’ve had so many people rave to us about how unique and beautiful the venue was. I’m so glad that we found the Pump House, and I’m sure we’ll be planning trips back in the future for anniversaries.

We had our wedding here and I’m not sure if I can put into words how beautiful this venue is! I fell in love with pictures before even seeing it. The ceremony garden is very unique and the cocktail hour space by the pool is absolutely stunning. Everything about this place, including the reception tent and its artificial turf, is perfect. There was plenty of space in the house for the bridal party to get their hair and makeup done and I liked that the guys had a separate building so they didn’t see us getting ready. Our coordinator, Caitlyn, was great to work with and was a tremendous help, especially on the wedding day. She did almost everything so we could enjoy the day! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else! We worked with Cypress Floral for our flowers. I don’t know a lot about flowers and color choices so I was appreciative of her help and recommendations. She gave several options to choose from and made adjustments multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. When I walked into the reception tent it brought me to tears seeing how beautiful everything was! Our bouquets, the hanging greenery, and floral arrangements for all the tables were stunning! I wish I could have taken every single arrangement home and I will never be able to thank Chelsea enough for how beautiful and perfect everything turned out! We also worked with Cypress Design to create most of our wedding signs and couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out! Alexa gave recommendations on colors and designs, which was really helpful, and all of our signs and décor were high quality and far exceeded our expectations! Not having to create my own signs and using her rentals took a lot of work and stress off of me during the planning process. I cannot thank the Cypress team enough for how perfect our wedding day was!!
