Dave DJ'd my brother's wedding a couple of years ago and my then-girlfriend and I had the time of our life. We decided that day that when our day came, Dave would be one of our first calls. From the beginning Dave was so much fun to work with. He brings so much experience to the table that all you have to do is communicate what you like and don't like and the kind of atmosphere you want. He will take care of the rest. His go-to percussionist is stellar as well. If not done well, drums can overshadow the music and ruin the sound. Dave and his team provide the perfect balance. Dave is also fair and dedicated to his clients. When figuring out our venue's rules about cold sparklers, Dave was prepared to work with us and the staff right away to make it happen, even though there were strict and unusual rules to follow. We ultimately didn't use the sparklers, but this was just one example of Dave's commitment to our day. We were floored. Last but certainly not least, Dave kept our party going for five hours straight! We knew we wanted nothing but dancing, and he delivered. We never left the dance floor, nor did a ton of our guests. From traditional bachata, to old school R&B, to wedding classics, his variety and mix were on point the whole time. Everyone had a blast. I cannot recommend Dave enough.”

“Naked Soul (led by Tony and Tom Perrone) absolutely ROCKED at our wedding! Tons of friends and family told us during and afterwards that they were the best wedding band they'd seen, and we might be biased, but we agree wholeheartedly. They were also pretty great to work with, and as a result music was one of the least stressful parts of planning and one of the best memories of the event. The planning process was extremely professional — we had a few calls with Tony to talk over the vibe we were going for in the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor. They sent over a list of a couple hundred songs in their repertoire and we picked 20 or so to anchor their idea of what we were looking for and selected our processionals, recessional, first dance, and parent-child dances. Our first dance was not on their list but they learned it and killed it in their performance. Our venue was a little non-traditional (relatively small room for the dance floorband) and we weren't sure that a full band was going to work in the space, but Tony put us at ease and pulled it off amazingly. One of the points Tony made in the run-up was that the songs we were picking were recommendations, not a set list. The band was going to follow the vibe and play more of whatever style was working with the crowd. This made it so much easier for us to pick songs, and in the end they played a lot of stuff that wasn't in our pics but went over better than we could have dreamed. I never thought I'd say that the best songs at my wedding were from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Black Eyed Peas. They knew their audience and the place went wild when they played Everybody (Backstreet's Back). The range of songs that a 10-piece band with a full array of vocalists can pull off is wild. Anyway, 10/10, would book again. If you're in the New York area and looking for a party we can't recommend Perrone Bros/Naked Soul highly enough. Bonus, these pics were taken by Tony and posted to their Instagram after the event.”

“The Briarcliff Manor MADE my wedding! My guests came back saying it was the best wedding they'd been to and I highly doubt it would have been that way without their incredible staff, beautiful venue, and great food! I also notably had a few crises throughout the day (by no fault of theirs or any of my other vendors) and they handled these issues with care and grace and made it so that none of my guests recognized an issue. Particularly big shout out to Kelsey, who was extremely transparent and helped us with everything big or small throughout the planning process (also a huge help on the day of); Perry, the owner, who helped with many of the bigger things along the way as well and was lovely on the day of; and Jen, the bridal attendant, who I only met for the first time on the day of, but truly proved to be my savior when things went wrong! Also highly recommend hiring Vincenza to do decor as our chuppah was even better than I imagined it being. Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with Briarcliff and would highly recommend them as a venue. They made a day that could have been really difficult into a dream come true and I could not imagine getting married anywhere else!”

“Nelson and his team photographed our May wedding in Plattekill, NY and the experience was absolutely extraordinary! They were professional while also personable making the experience very relaxed and natural. Prior to the big day, Nelson was very communicative and helped design a schedule meeting my interests of different shots and perfected the timing. On the day of, Nelson and his team eased right in without a hitch bouncing from one location to the next and corralling us and family seamlessly while staying on time. “Hire DJ Tweed! From the initial consultation to the last dance, he exceeded all expectations, creating a seamless and unforgettable atmosphere that had our guests dancing the night away. He took the time to understand our musical preferences, wedding theme, and any special requests we had and then elevated what we wanted to be amazing. Most importantly, on the day of the wedding Daryl rolled with changes seamlessly – his ability to read the crowd and adapt the playlist kept everyone engaged and energized, and we were so impressed at how he was acutely dialed into the feeling on the dance floor, cutting a song short if it wasn’t hitting and mixing to keep the beats up the whole time. Led by singer, songwriter, and recording artist Melody Rodriguez, the band can be heard in numerous styles such as Latin Pop, Boy Bands and 90’s nostalgia, while authentically performing standards and classics with powerhouse vocals.

“When looking for a band for a multicultural wedding, we knew they had to be special. Just the Melody was the first band we reached out to and it was clear from the onset that we didn’t have to look any further because we knew they were the ones. Throughout the entire experience, Melody and Edvin were an absolute dream to work with. They were incredibly responsive and took the planning process seriously while also keeping it fun. We were able to have multiple planning meetings where they clearly listened to our vision and more specifically the energy we were hoping to bring to the entire evening. Our wedding included multiple different musical moments that Just the Melody was able to provide with aplomb. The ceremony was romantic instrumental music that transitioned to modern pop instrumentals during the first half of the cocktail hour. Then a Mariachi band took over the second half of the cocktail hour with Melody providing gorgeous vocals for a few songs before the 12-piece band took over the magic for the rest of the night. The band with Edvin as MC matched the energy of our guests the entire night in a way we never expected. After our first dance, a beautiful rendition of Luis Miguel’s”Por Debajo De La Mesa”, the band moved right into a wondrous lineup of Latin music including Cumbia, Bachata, and Salsa that got our guests up and on their feet. From that point forward the dancing was nonstop with both American and Latin music filling the air. They also helped us celebrate the joining of our Jewish and Latino cultures by playing the Hora followed by La Vibora De La Mar. Edvin and Melody worked well with our venue to time our fathers’ speeches when our guests paused for a moment to eat and they were thoughtful with the tempo of the night by pairing this with our father/bride and mother/groom dances. After dinner they brought the energy right back up and we even got to see some of Edvin’s unreal dance moves when the 90s/2000s pop music started up. We could absolutely not believe it when they allowed us to come on stage and belt out one of our favorite songs (Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle”). It was a living dream (especially for the bride). We cannot say enough how much both of us and all of our guests absolutely adored Just the Melody. We have been told multiple times by our guests that they didn't expect to go to a concert along with our wedding and that they loved every minute of it. And we did too. The music the entire evening was exceptional and better than anything we could have come up with in our wildest dreams for the evening. Thank you Melody, Edvin and the entire Just the Melody crew - we could not have chosen better for our wedding!!”

“We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! We can’t speak highly enough about our special day here!”

“The communication from the Whitby Castle team was lacking and inconcise, which made some parts of the planning process more difficult than it needed to be. However, the venue itself was an excellent space for the value, and the facility was in good condition, though not exceptional. One highlight was that the set up and clean up went very smoothly, which allowed us to fully enjoy our special day. Overall, Whitby Castle provided a solid space for our wedding, though the customer service could have been better.”
