At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

Jeff was extremely responsive and professional throughout the planning process, and did a great job taking our preferences into account while also taking time to listen and care about the special moments - for example, playing a special song for my parents and making a nice announcement during the party. Jeff also helped keep us on schedule during the reception while still allowing us flexibility to enjoy the event. Jeff also coordinated effectively with the planners, event staff, and us leading up to the wedding day, as well as throughout the day and night. From a music perspective, Jeff was fantastic: he was flexible to take as little or as much direction as needed. For example, we chose specific songs for the ceremony and first dances which he cut for time and mixed to perfection. We gave a more general "vibe" for cocktail hour and he ran with building out a broader playlist for that, and he did a great job of keeping the dance floor rocking the entire night, while accepting our must plays, our "do-not plays" etc.”

He kept guests on the dance floor all night long, and did a great job MCing our event and helping us orchestrate several performances. We planned special entrances for each member of the bridal party, a surprise choreographed dance, and multiple speeches which he handled with ease. “I will just start by saying that hiring the Franklin & Alison Music Band was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding on 5/18/24 at the Atrium of Tenafly! We received so many compliments from all the guests for the quality of the live band we had; and to our joy, the dance floor was always brimming with people. We happened upon the band’s website via The Knot’s suggested music provider list and absolutely loved their sample videos, songs, pictures, and testimonials. From the get go, Laraine was a pleasure to work with - always clear, on point with her answers, considerate, personable, and compassionate. We spoke at length via several phone calls and email exchanges about our history as a couple and our music preferences and then we met in person to go over all the details and narrow down the list of our favorite songs, She paid close attention to the pronunciation of names, nailed the parent dance song suggestions and the timing of the different reception activities. Then Laraine, Keith and the band did an amazing job at compiling an extremely successful playlist customized to our wedding. Katrice’s voice is stunning and so versatile, Sam was the perfect host, Keith was just so fun to chat with, and everyone in the band was just phenomenal! We all had a blast and I couldn’t recommend Franklin & Alison Music highly enough! Hands down the best decision ever!”
