At Gallery Nine North, my mission is to capture the raw, authentic moments of life’s most cherished celebrations through the art of candid photography. With over 400 weddings beautifully documented, I pride myself on a photojournalistic approach that tells each couple's unique story.

From the first moment my grandfather placed a Sony Cybershot in my hands at age 13, I knew the magic of capturing life's most profound and intimate moments was meant for me. Now, after nearly 24 years behind the lens, what began as a childhood hobby has become everything to me. My commitment to you as your photographer is to apply my skill, creative mind, and decades of experience to your occasion so you have fantastic, tangible memories to look back on years from now. I have made it my goal to become proficient across a wide range of photographic/editing styles, in order to better serve the needs and preferences of each individual client.

Ever since I have had photography in my life I have always wanted to capture all types of love people share with each other, no matter who they are, who they love, or where they’re from. To be able to share stories through photos has always been a passion of mine and I hope to continue on this path indefinitely.

I've been making pictures since 2006. After pursuing a degree in Photojournalism from RIT, I've had a unique journey through the professional photographic world, from staff and freelance work for news outlets, to assisting and production roles on commercial, documentary and editorial projects. I enjoy photographing nature and the night sky, too, in addition to personal projects. I’ve basically always got a camera with me. Through all of this time I have also been photographing weddings, which I view as an assignment that requires me to employ skills from all of the different areas of photography I've worked in.

Between Jeff and I, we have four adult children, all of whom followed their own destinies and now live in different states. This is one of those moments that I look around my house and am thankful for all the framed art I have of them throughout the years, each one with a special memory attached to it. Once I had kids, my camera never left my hand. Special events, holidays, family get-togethers, and everyday life, I wanted to have them all documented.

Wendy and I are happily married and live in South Burlington, Vermont! We are both native Vermonters, and we have done over 350 weddings together. Geoffrey has also done over 500 weddings solo. Weddings are not just a career for us, they are our passion. People skills and a big smile are our most important assets. We love doing what we do, and it shows in the finished images.

It's feeling, and it's found in the whirlwind and the still moments, in heightened emotion and calm, and above all, celebrating what makes you and your partner exactly who you are with the people you choose to surround yourself with. In my work composition serves to frame the feeling, with permission to be raw, outrageous, reserved, and unabashedly yourself. I make photos about the day and not the day about the photos. All couples of all genders, ethnicities, ages, faiths, shapes and abilities, are more than welcome.

My husband is my second photographer, so we come as a photo team! Just like you, I have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving so you look and feel natural and comfortable. I’m sorry but there are some angles, and poses that are not flattering for everyone.
