From the moment we saw the venue we knew this was the place, it’s scenic beauty, openness, and seclusion was exactly what we were looking for. The Waterview staff confirmed our initial thoughts, as they were super friendly and pleasant. It was refreshing to have venue that displayed and delivered honest and transparent packages about what we can expect and what they would deliver. They never tried to upsell things we didn’t need or want, rather they listened to our vision and made it happen. Zuleika was our coordinator, and we couldn’t be any more grateful for her commitment and thoughtfulness to ensure our wedding was spectacular. During the process of planning (our numerous calls, emails, indecisiveness/uncertainty), we felt catered to as if we were the only wedding party Zuleika was taking care of. Zuleika and her team, never disappointed us but instead reassured us and kept the bride (me) calm. The level of attentiveness we received was consistent throughout the process, from day 1 we were assured we’d be able to integrate and enjoy our favorite Jamaican restaurant’s cuisine into our cocktail hour, to making sure the details of my vision/decor for the ceremony and reception we’re carried out, to ensuring we captured the sparkler send off before our photographer’s contract time ended. Right before the ceremony, a minor detail was out of place and Zuleika made sure it was corrected prior to the start of the ceremony. In addition, they worked with us to setup and break down decor items and it was neatly packed for next day pickup.\nBy far, we were beyond blessed to have the Waterview as the venue our wedding. While there are a lot of venues out there, the Waterview is truly a top notice venue that’s easy to work with and has the best staff. Our guests (200) have not stopped talking about our wedding. Our guest traveled from near and far (Canada, Florida, Jamaica, New York, Seattle, Houston) and raved about the beautiful views (lake and garden views), the food selection(s)/quality/taste, and staff’s genuine interest to ensure all guest were comfortable. Zuleika and her team even opened up the inside venue to several guests who arrived extra early so they didn’t wait outside in the heat. The natural beauty of the venue sitting on the water of Lake Zoar combined with the inside elegant charm is unmatched. Their ability to manage larger weddings seamlessly is phenomenal. We live 2 hours away but had no second thoughts about booking this venue. Not only is the location absolutely gorgeous, but the staff is incredible to work with. Christian and team were so helpful, responsive, accommodating, and kind. There is only 1 event per day, so you get the full focus of the Candlewood team. We also booked the on location bridal suite for the girls to get ready in the morning of the wedding. The space was perfect, and they provided us with so much food. And speaking of the food, it was incredible! Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food, service, and overall beauty at Candlewood. Everyone there is truly amazing and the food was delicious! From the planning process all the way through to the day of the wedding, we were supported and felt like a priority. Katie was amazing and so helpful through the planning process and significantly reduced our stress! All of our requests were accommodated and executed to perfection. Our banquet manager, Ashley, who ran the rehearsal and made sure the wedding day went smoothly, was also amazing. Ashley has a wonderful personality and made sure everything was perfect for us. All of the staff on the day of the wedding were friendly, helpful, and professional. I am truly sad that I won’t be communicating with the Amber room staff on a regular basis anymore as over the last 10 months of wedding planning, they have felt more like family. The space really transformed for our wedding and was so affordable for amazing quality. Food also was delish! We live in NYC and planning a wedding while out of state seemed a little daunting, but the whole team here is so professional, responsive, friendly and welcoming that we felt comfortable we'd be able to plan from afar. We really wanted an outdoor element to our wedding while still having modern amenities and South Farms was the only place that checked all of our boxes with its beautiful fields, mix of indoor/outdoor spaces, interesting history and features, exposed beams, modern bathrooms, temperature control, and a charming indoor/rain option. The spaces all have great bones with a lot of room to make things personal and unique, and we felt the staff was really open to working with us to achieve our particular aesthetic. Jennifer was very accommodating in the beginning with scheduling our tour and answering our initial questions, and as we got closer to the wedding we met our venue coordinator Sam, who is amazing. She kept us on track, was super friendly (and patient with our thousand questions, details and project ideas) and we always felt confident that things were going to go smoothly on our day no matter the situation. We felt pretty organized and on top of everything as the day was getting closer, but so many small things come up that you can't predict and Sam was calm and on top of everything - we are so grateful to her and the rest of the team that worked on our wedding day. No matter how well you prepare, the day moves fast, and you need a vendor team you trust. Not only was all of South Farms dependable, but most of our vendors were from their preferred list, and everything was executed exactly how we imagined. Even working within their preferred list, we still had lots of choices to personalize everything from the caterer, to the lighting, to the decor. All of our guests complimented how beautiful and unique the space was, and how well executed all of our details were (which is thanks to the SF team). From the start of our wedding planning experience, Angela and Tarin were absolutely amazing. They made my husband and I feel so welcome and treated us like family from the very beginning. About eight months before the wedding I tore my ACL and had surgery and Tarin even checked in with me to see how the surgery went and wish me well. As we got closer to the wedding, the girls made sure that everything went off without a hitch. They checked with us about our other vendors, gave us some advice, and helped us double and triple check all of our information right up to the day of the wedding. They reduced our wedding planning stresses by so much!!! The venue was absolutely gorgeous the day of our wedding, the food was beyond delicious, and all of the staff were so kind and friendly. Our personal server, Diana, was truly the star of the show on wedding day. She checked in with us at the exact right time, every time. She never made us feel like she was interrupting, but she was always there right when we needed her. And our drinks were never empty! We truly cannot say enough good things about the Grand Oak Villa and the lovely staff there. They really felt like family. Every single one of our guests remarked that the food was incredible, drinks were made perfectly, and the staff was so kind. Angela even personally greeted our parents the night of the wedding.
