Not only does Hidden Oakn serve delicious food for our events we are blessed to host, we are also frequently called upon to cater banquets, weddings and cooperate events all over Northern Indiana. My sister and I started this bakery together to share our love and talents with others. We first learned from our Grandma that taught us both growing up in 4H fair and we went to state many times. Constructed in 1871 by Bavarian immigrant Philip H. Zorn Jr., Barrelhouse The Venue resides on the historic Zorn campus. As an annex to the brewery, Barrelhouse The Venue would manufacture beer barrels to house fresh beer prior to distribution around Northwest Indiana. Though unoccupied now, the original ice-house, brew-house, and malting building still stand across the street, a reminder of the dream Philip Zorn brought with him to America.
