“Long review coming, but I can't help myself. Erin was the best decision of my wedding! I cared about three things for my wedding, and photography was one of them. Finding a photographer was a daunting task since at the end of the day I knew I would leave with two things: my husband and my pictures. From the very beginning, Erin was a delight to work with. Photography, one of my top priorities, became my lowest stressor leading up to my wedding and the day of. Erin is a phenomenal communicator. She is clear, timely, and respectful. She asked about our photography desires, encouraged questions, and confirmed information to ensure that we achieved what we wanted. Erin always responded quickly which was so helpful when trying to coordinate everything needed for a wedding. The day of the wedding she and her second photographer, Monica (an absolute gem!!), were excellent communicators with all of the adults and children present when relaying what they wanted and needed us to do for photos. They helped with poses and gave amazing feedback (both positive and adjustments needed) throughout the day to help us feel comfortable and get good shots (neither my husband nor myself are natural at posing, but our photos turned out amazing)! Erin is calm, organized, and KIND (exactly what a couple needs during the planning process and on the wedding day)! Everything was clearly outlined prior to signing a contract. Once signing, you have a login to see all of your information in one place (contract, payments, questionnaire, etc.) which makes it so easy to keep track of everything related to our photography. As a Type A person, I so appreciated how clear and organized all of the information was. She has a second photographer included on the wedding day who helps keep track of the previously-determined photos (confirmed during a phone call) and ensures that everyone is in place so photos don't take a million hours. We were able to complete all pre- and post-ceremony pictures (we had a lot) in about an hour total for both. She was so sweet and made both of us feel unbelievably comfortable. She's someone you'll genuinely want to stay friends with after the wedding! Both Erin and Monica were so thorough and detailed. Not only did they review everything I didn't know I needed to think about prior to the wedding, but the day of the wedding they handled everything with such attention to detail that it completely removed all pressure from us and our families. Erin and Monica knew the photos we wanted and made sure to get all of them throughout the day. They constantly helped adjust my gown, veil, hair, and poses to ensure that not only the framing and lighting was perfect (which it was), but that there were no little details out of place that would drive OCD me crazy haha. They also brought tremendous equipment that allowed them to shoot multiple ways in multiple lighting scenarios. We were married in an old church, had a reception in a wood-paneled moody, dark room, and finished with photos at the Jefferson Memorial. Every single venue had perfectly lit photos. They both jumped around, walked up and down, switched out cameras, and straight up WORKED (at impeccable speed) to get us so many amazing angles and photos. On top of everything. Erin helped us create beautiful photo albums for us and our parents. To say Erin is worth the investment is the understatement of the century. We are forever grateful to her for capturing our important day!”

After canceling our wedding 2 times due to Covid, Matt & I discussed the possibility of eloping to Jackson Hole, WY. I knew that Bob & Jamie have visited there enough to claim it as their 2nd home (lol) so I reached out for some advice/recommendations regarding the area & eloping. They not only offered a ton of knowledge about Jackson, they said they were available to travel and shoot our wedding. We booked them right away!!! They helped Matt & I EVERY step of the way. “We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

“I seriously can’t put into words how amazing she was and cannot recommend her enough. She was great to have around on our wedding day and I am so happy with our photos. The groomsmen didn't have their act together, even though she provides a detailed schedule, and she was totally chill about it and was like no biggie I'll be back in 30. My fiancé commented on how awesome she was (didn't comment on any other vendors) and one of his groomsmen did too (see first pic). This was before we even saw the pics and they turned out better than I could have imagined. At one point I told her I was done taking pics I wanted to go talked to people and dance, so was a little worried if we got enough shots, but was blown away with the results. I also told her I didn't care that much about getting ready pics but wanted a lot of guest candids and she delivered. She also got way more getting ready pics than I even expected. We didn't want to spend money on a second photographer and she was fine with that and got all the pics we wanted on her own. She truly listened to what we wanted and was incredible at communication and organization. On top of that, she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and truly a calming presence during all of the chaos on wedding day. I feel sooo lucky we found her.”

There were times I’d think, “Where is she?” only to realize later that she was exactly where she needed to be, capturing every moment flawlessly. At other times, it felt like she and her team were right in the mix, blending in so seamlessly with our family and friends. They made it so easy for Jeff and me to stay in the moment and be fully present throughout the day. The experience and expertise Tay brought to the table were worth every penny. I’m so grateful my sister recommended her to us, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any bride who wants to look back on her wedding day and feel nothing but magic. One thing I do wish we had done—and something I highly recommend to any future bride and groom—is taking the engagement photo shoot. We booked Tay about five or six months before our wedding but had already done an engagement shoot with a friend, so we kept putting it off until it never happened. Looking back, I realize how valuable that experience would’ve been. It would’ve helped us prepare better for the family photo sessions and be more conscious of certain poses, like during our first kiss. While our photos are still breathtaking, I believe the engagement shoot would’ve given us that extra edge of confidence and familiarity, which is one of its biggest benefits.”

“Lester did our love story pictures and our wedding pictures. He's an amazing photographer, he was always on time, helped us with posing, was very patient with our family members and with us. My event got a little messy as we got delayed and Lester did what he could while I got everything ready and people (including the groom arrived) he also took it upon himself and our DJ to assist us in organizing the people and getting them to our outdoor ceremony, and finalizing some details that were missing. “I truly had the dream team with Ashley, Michelle, and Ashley on my wedding day. Communication is a huge thing for me when it came to planning the wedding and they always responded in a timely manner and worked with my husbands crazy schedule. On our wedding day Ashley was with the ladies and I during getting ready, while Michelle had to handle the guys, I say handle because they’re a handful especially once my dad is thrown into the mix. (You know the sos button on your phone… yeah my dad bumped that and the state cops showed up…. Oops.) but Michelle did amazing with them. We had a first look and then did our family photos and they did a wonderful job getting the kids attention (3 kids under 2). During our ceremony I had no idea they were even there, they really do just blend in to the scene. During cocktail hour Ashley took some precious photos of us with our son that I know I’ll cherish forever. They even took us out for some nighttime portraits before the left for the night. I highly recommend working with Ashley and her team !”
