Mountain Shadows Retreat (The Anti-Venue) provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was prompt, professional, and incredibly helpful in making our vision a reality. The natural setting and stunning views were beyond our expectations - the gorgeous outdoor space truly felt like an oasis. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our special day ran smoothly, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. We give Mountain Shadows Retreat a 10 out of 10 and would absolutely book there again in a heartbeat. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and all the thanks to this wonderful venue for helping us create a memory that will last forever.

Nestled in the heart of Sutter Creek, our venue is just steps from one of California’s most charming small towns. Main Street is lined with wine tasting rooms, cozy restaurants, local bars, and welcoming shops — all walkable and full of character. Think Stars Hollow or a Hallmark movie, where the pace is slower, the people are friendly, and the town feels like home. With boutique hotels and inns within walking distance, your guests can settle in and fully enjoy the weekend — no shuttles or long drives required. Located in Amador County’s wine country, the region offers Napa-like roads & wineries without the crowds — making it the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and unforgettable celebration. It's Northern California's best kept secret. And with Sacramento just an hour away and San Francisco only two, it’s an easy escape that feels worlds away.

My fiancé and I had the most incredible experience touring this venue! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the space is—pictures truly don’t do it justice. Every corner feels like it’s been pulled from a fairytale. What made it even more special was meeting Sabrina, the new manager. She is warm, passionate, and incredibly detail-oriented. You can instantly feel how much she cares—not just about the venue, but about your vision and experience. She walked us through everything with so much enthusiasm and clarity that we left feeling completely confident and inspired. The new owners, Sabrina and Chase are not just maintaining the beauty of the venue—they're investing in thoughtful, meaningful upgrades that make the space even more magical. From landscaping to layout improvements, it’s clear they want every inch of the venue to feel perfect for their couples. We feel so lucky to have found this place and to be working with such a dedicated, and talented team. If you're considering this venue—don’t hesitate. You’ll be in the best hands!!

Planning a multi-day Indian wedding is challenging, but planning a destination Indian wedding in Tahoe came with an incredible number of benefits and challenges. Somehow, the wedding and event coordination team at Palisades managed to take on 200 out-of-town guests and 3 days of events and turn it into the best weekend of our lives! From the attentive guest experience for our friends and family staying on-site to curating a brand new Indian fusion menu for our mountaintop Sangeet, Mercedes and her team went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our guests are still talking about how incredible our locations were (Sangeet at High Camp, Ceremony in front of Olympic Valley Lodge and Reception inside the lodge) and I still can't believe how lucky we were to find our dream venue. Every single person we worked with went out of their way to work with us and our families and did it with the most positive, professional and proactive mentality that made us feel so comfortable and excited. Choose Palisades and I guarantee you'll have the best possible guest experience and scenery for your big day!
