My approach to wedding photography is one part editorial and one part sentimental candids. I want to capture all the details you have chosen to have on your wedding day and all the guests you have invited to share this moment. You will have a fun & joyful experience and receive natural-looking, artful photos that look like they belong in a magazine. My edit is a bright, true-to-color crisp edit. I am Amber, and I make up Amber Enos Photography. I am sure your mind is racing with all that needs to be planned. It is all very exciting, but it can also be somewhat overwhelming. You are planning the day that you have been anticipating your whole life, and yet you only get one shot at it! By the time you get the hang of it, the planning is over! My goal as your photographer is to make this one aspect of the planning process simple. Photography is more than just images, it is a real part of your day. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot say enough good things about Amber! When I met her years ago as a second shooter for my sister's wedding, I knew that's who I wanted to take my wedding photos some day. When my fiancé and I got engaged, I said "we have to book Amber ASAP!". Her work is flawless, and I love absolutely every picture she takes. She is very personable, and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her assistant, her husband, was wonderful also! They are a great team and were able to capture every moment from our wedding. Amber even had an iPad at the wedding, with photo previews from that day! She is such a hard worker, and we received our full album within a couple weeks after our wedding. Without any doubt I recommend Amber to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Our family will be using her for all our future photography needs!

CES Weddings & Events

5.0

  • Planner
  • Offers 3 services
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Serves Palermo, CA

Since 2007, California Event Specialists has been bringing dream weddings to life all over. Whether it’s the Bay Area, Sacramento, Lake Almanor, Tahoe, Napa or Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, we’re all about making your vision a reality and having a blast while we do it! Our goal is simple: build real relationships, get to know exactly what you need, and bring together a team of top-notch vendors to make your day unforgettable. Every time, without fail.

Below is an excerpt from the Thank you we sent Jodi and team, which we believe captures aspects of their objectively excellent execution, but also the positive emotional outcome. We feel we have a unique perspective when it comes to evaluating wedding planners, because we had the unfortunate experience of needing to part ways with our original planners. The stark contrast in performance and accountability can be understated - Jodi and her team rocks! We honestly don’t even know where to begin—you are a lifesaver. Saying yes to us just five weeks before the wedding? That alone deserves a standing ovation. You jumped in with grace, got up to speed, and somehow made sense of our chaos like it was nothing. But your impact went far beyond showing up on short notice. You brought structure, clarity, and care to every step of the journey—transforming what could have been a scramble into something fun and grounded. You are incredibly talented at what you do. From the big-picture logistics to the tiniest details, everything felt seamless. Our wedding was beautiful and full of love, and that is thanks in large part to you. We felt so taken care of—Alissa still talks about how you checked in to make sure she was eating and drinking throughout the day, which didn’t go unnoticed. Mike and I actually joked that we started functioning better as a team once you came into the picture – you literally made our marriage better before it started - LOL. You helped us communicate, prioritize, and actually enjoy the process. Your project management was masterful. Nearly every call came with a clear agenda: what we accomplished, what needed discussion, and what was next. That structure may sound simple, but it requires disciplne and organization, and established structure that provided clarity and forced alignment, and which ultimately helped us move forward with confidence. You never let perfection slow us down—but you also never made us feel like we were sacrificing it either. And when you offered a different perspective, you did so with warmth and grace, always guiding us to better decisions with your experience and steady hand. You were a rock for us—even when we hit a literal speed bump, or two! You commanded the room when it was necessary and made space for celebration to unfold around you. We woke up the next morning (after celebrating until 4:30am—a good sign, right?) and looked at each other thinking: How do we move forward without Jodi as our full-time life planner? We’re beyond grateful for your patience, your poise, and your heart. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We already miss you. Please stay in touch—and if you're ever passing through Tahoe, you better let us know. With all our love and gratitude,

The Wedding DJ Company

5.0

  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Palermo, CA

Based out of Chico, California, The Wedding DJ Company provides their clients with the soundtrack to their unforgettable events. The owner, Chris Frankovich, utilizes his talents as a radio broadcaster to professionally serve his clients’ big days with absolute precision. Frustrated with the difficulties of hiring his own DJ for his wedding back in 2005, Chris has made it his mission to provide others with a customized service that effortlessly pays homage to their one-of-a-kind celebration.

Chris with The Wedding DJ Company was absolutely amazing! With the pandemic we had to change our plans multiple times, as well as changing our reception location 2 weeks before the wedding. He was so easy to work with and the communication was flawless. He is very detailed and wants to make sure he plays the music you want! He made everything look absolutely amazing with the uplighting at the reception. The music and speakers worked perfect at our beach ceremony as well. We were getting compliments all night from our guests about how great he was. He kept things going even when we were a little off schedule. He made sure everyone had fun and danced all night! We highly recommend Chris for your wedding day!

I am wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Northern California for couples who are madly in love. I love natural light and try to capture beautifully real raw images. I like to photograph the real stuff... the good stuff! The smiling, giggling and all the things that make you blush!

We first met Susie at my sister’s wedding and knew right away we wanted her for ours. Shooting on top of Donner Summit isn’t easy, but she made it feel effortless. She somehow managed to get every photo we wanted and so many we didn’t even know we needed. The way she captured the light, the landscape, and all the emotion of the day was unreal. The previews already feel like something out of a dream and we honestly can’t wait to see the rest. Thank you so much Susie for capturing our special day!

Something Borrowed Blooms

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Palermo, CA

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Awarded Best of Zola
Something Borrowed Blooms provided the florals for our wedding and their service was expert, clear, and concise, though lacked any personal touch. The quality of their work was great - the florals looked beautiful, especially from a distance, and they were competitively priced. However, their shipping turnaround time was awful, with the flowers due back just 2 days after the wedding. This is more of a business than a vendor, so don't expect a lot of personalized care. While I ordered more florals than I ended up needing, it was worth it to have the full, lush look I was going for on our special day.

Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Palermo, CA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Flower Moxie exceeded my expectations! We did a custom design and Cristen really captured what I wanted for our wedding day. The ordering process was so easy thanks to Cristen and I went further and did the modules to prep for getting them. As we got closer Alexa was so quick and helpful when I was panic asking a million questions. We had some delays and were getting close to my wedding day with little time to get the flowers done. Alexa jumped into action and was amazing in finding a wholesaler near me that had the flowers we wanted picked and ready for me to get in less than 3 hours. That made such a huge difference as I was able to have my helpers and get everything done before the day of my rehearsal dinner. On top of all of this I now am so proud to say I did all the florals for my wedding and they were everything I wanted! If you’re a fellow budget bride with a vision flower moxie is for you!
