You and your guests deserve an authentic Vermont experience and you will begin that experience by walking through The Lincoln Family Home to your wedding ceremony in our historic formal garden. From high on a promontory, you look out to the Taconic Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains to the east, with stunning views of rolling fields and the famed Battenkill River Valley 300 feet below. Your guests will be treated to beautifully prepared fresh local food. Some ingredients will even have been grown at Hildene Farm. And, by having your wedding at Hildene you gain the added satisfaction of helping to support one of America’s great cultural heritage sites. A popular wedding venue, the farm is surrounded by four authentically-restored historic year-round vacation rental properties accommodating up to 22 guests—one of which is Rudyard Kipling’s Naulakha where he penned the Jungle Book. The Stone Trust Education Center, located in the 1862 Barn, showcases beautiful, unique dry-stone wall installations around the property. In addition to our venue site, we also have multiple possible ceremony locations available. Our farm is only a short drive from beautiful Brattleboro, Vermont, allowing accessible lodging for any guests traveling to help you celebrate your special day. With the help of our local and trusted vendors, we can help you create your Vermont dream wedding with our beautiful family farm as your priceless backdrop. The Altamont Manor, a gracious 1894 restored Victorian manor, offers the perfect setting for your wedding. A private, secluded location with formal gardens, spacious landscaped surroundings, and a spacious dining room with floor to ceiling windows providing beautiful views, all make for an enchanted wedding. Over our many years here, we've restored both the building and it's surroundings. From rebuilding the hundred foot long wrap-around porch, reclaiming long abandoned gardens and planting new ones, we've created a private secluded setting available to share with you all of life's celebrations.

When booking a wedding or special event with us you not only get the ceremonial and event grounds, but you also get to choose from treehouses, earth homes, A-frame, Yurts and other unique rentals of your choice all included for an unforgettable wedding destination for you and your guests! We are a small resort just one mile north of Lake George Village. We have a beautiful wooded ceremony site and a reception site right next to the ceremony site. We have unique rentals such as treehouses, yurts, and earth homes as well as one bedroom and two bedroom cabins to accommodate overnight guests!
