Rusty River Barn

Utica, OH
  • Up to 225 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor

Rusty River Barn is quietly tucked away allowing you and your guests to enjoy acres of secluded beauty that will make your special day not only one to remember, but treasure for a lifetime. The restoration of this historical barn has made it one of Central Ohio’s most beautiful wedding locations. While preserving the history of this farm, we have added all the modern conveniences but with a touch of vintage charm. The venue offers several areas that may be used for ceremonies, which include the Rustic Barn, the Glass House, a sunset wedding on the deck over looking the pond, or you can make your way down a flagstone pathway for a gorgeous natural backdrop that will frame your wedding day.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Allows pets
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • No in-house catering options
  • Not wheelchair accessible
From the moment we drove up to Rusty River Barn for our tour we knew it was the right place for our wedding. The venue is beautiful and secluded, offering a wide variety of settings for each component of your wedding day. There are 2 outdoor ceremony options, one with a forest backdrop and one with a fountain, as well as an indoor rain location in a beautiful rustic barn. The area reserved for the bridal party for getting ready was big enough for our party of 14, as well as parents, to have enough space to comfortably get ready and hang out while waiting for the ceremony to begin. The reception hall was full for our wedding of 165, but still included space for a dance floor and felt very open once we opened the glass doors on all sides of the building as the night began. The layout of the venue allows for you and the guests to flow seamlessly in and out of spaces, and it made it feel as though we were still a part of the party, even when our photographer and videographer were pulling us out for content. Kellie is a phenomenal point of contact to work with, as she is very experienced and helpful when planning. During the wedding day, Kellie made sure to work flawlessly with all other vendors to ensure our day ran smoothly while giving us the time and space to process the experience. Even with a significant chance of rain day of, Kellie was calm and efficient allowing us to truly relax and feel reassured. Rusty River Barn was one of the few venues we toured that truly gave us the ability to have control over every aspect of the wedding day. Rusty River Barn provided the space and the furnishings (tables, chairs, ceremony arch) while we used our own vendors for everything else (linens, all bar supplies, etc). We could not have been happier with our choice in venue and we are so grateful to Kellie for being such a big part of our perfect day.

Our family enjoyed one of the best events of our lives at the Barn of Hidden Valley as we gathered for a family reunion. Next up - We are not newlyweds but planning to celebrate 50 years of marriage with family and friends by renewing vows at the Barn of Hidden Valley. It will be the greatest event next to the first time we said "I Do". The setting is everything you could hope for. Picturesque, quiet, serene. So much room both inside and outdoors to celebrate any function you could imagine. It was obvious on our first visit that the hosts at the Barn have thought of everything to make your event unforgettable. From the interior decor to the outdoors landscape and natural setting, it is perfect, especially for weddings. There are so many areas to take photos that are a photographer's dream. The Barn can be decorated to suit your taste, or, it is beautiful on its own with a warm, inviting environment. The amenities are accommodating, a wonderful kitchen, bride and groom dressing rooms, comfortable seating areas, outdoor areas are nature's best. Can you picture a stream meandering nearby with a bridge that is perfect for photo snaps. Our family highly recommends the Barn at Hidden Valley for weddings, family reunions, corporate events. Anything you can imagine for groups to gather and enjoy.
